Marvel: Mai/Evie
WHO: Mai Sheppard and Evangeline Sablier
WHERE: Xavier's Mansion
WHEN: Now
WHAT: Fellow new mutants meet and then wander a bit.
RATING: Probably light!
Mai was used to being surrounded by people. She had a big family growing up, and while she visibly stood out compared to all her blonde haired blue eyed hick cousins, she never felt like an outcast. Trade that in for the army, and then CIA teams, and she was a team player. She went rogue when it suited her, but she liked people. Once she got over the initial panic of her powers, and the loss of Aaron, which still stung a little, she settled down at the mansion. She could get used to that. This place was like something that was in a magazine. She had only passing knowledge of nerdy comic book stuff, thanks to her many male cousins, but it was enough she could point out big names easily. Plus she saw all the movies for the explosions. Also the eye candy. So she vaguely remembered this place, it was just loads bigger than she expected. It was ten minutes past noon and that meant time for a beer. She tried to stick to that rule, although more than once she went by the 'it's noon somewhere' principle. Mai looked comfortable sprawled out on a chair in the kitchen, her bare feet up on the table, wearing shorts and a tank top. Simple, laid back, and her hair curled up into a pony tail. She cleaned up well and had an impressive display of leather pants and heels, but just around the house? She'd be comfy. She was checking out the paper and wondering if she'd have to do some actual training. The electricity shit stopped making her hand stand on end, and that was 75% of why she wanted to control it. The other 25% was 'no electrocuting other people please.' She was reading the paper while scrolling through her tablet on the network at the same time. Multitasking, it was an important skill for a spy turned ... whatever they were now. |
