Corner Couch: Jason/Banner
Bruce was glad to be invited, but public gatherings were not exactly his bread and butter. Even with people he liked and trusted, he tended to keep near the exits and out of the way. Habits like that were impossible to break after four decades of learning them. He thought the wedding was beautiful, and the vows were charming. He loved the style in this room, even if it might not seem like it, since he camped on a couch out of the way almost immediately. But he liked observing more than anything else. He knew almost everyone there, most of them on sight, and anyone else wasn't that difficult to match with a voice and a name.
He did get a drink before he came over, just water. Times like these he wished he was a drinker, since social drinking could be a good way of calming down. But he did feel calm from where he was, observing and quiet, but he didn't seem miserable or awkward. He smiled softly as he looked around and watched the others. He was wearing a terrible rented suit. It was a little too big on him and clearly not of great quality, or owned by him, but it was the best he could do on short notice. He got his hair cut enough that it didn't look like a curly nest, and the beard was groomed enough to be passable. He wore the cufflinks and watch that Selina stole for him, and they seemed completely out of place with the rest of him, expensive where he was otherwise cheap.
Bruce hadn't seen Selina since the ceremony, and he wasn't sure if she planned on coming. Their most recent argument and subsequent drunken make up was on his mind, as was the obvious situation here where the man she was supposed to be with was around. But he tried not to think on that too much, because this was a wedding and it was nice, and there was no reason for him to be a sad sack. He sat alone and tapped his finger on the arm of the chair, sipping his water. He'd wait just long enough to be polite while knowing he could respectfully leave. The gift he got them seemed miniscule, but again, short notice. So far so good.
