No, no, no, no, no! He shouted no when his eyes opened and he found himself in his real body. It was a mixed batch of emotions for him, because on one hand he'd rather die than be in the body of some scrawny goth kid, and on the other, he lost the powers that went with it. He looked at his hands and no electricity could be called, no fire. For that short amount of time he had unlimited potential, and he would have been able to save her. He could have gone into the door and blasted all those bloody zombies away and dragged her back to their gorgeous house where she belonged, safe and sound. Now he was normal again. He never considered himself a helpless sort, he had brains and money and power. What else was there? Except now there was a different type of power, one he was locked out of. Or was he? There was talk of a pulse before. People gaining extraordinary abilities. They acted as if it was a curse, but now he knew better. Nothing that strong could be a curse, not if it was used properly. His own body looked fine enough, at least no one was foolish enough to mess with it. He crossed his expansive room and poured himself a glass of brandy, looking into the liquid as if it would give him answers. He needed to find his siblings, and in order to find all of them, he would have to find a way to become something like that boy. Only far better, of course. It was the only way to save Clementine. Decision made, Jude Murphy contemplated the girl he killed. That was a shame. A display of ability, to see if he could. Hopefully she would be returned back to herself, the way the hotel ordinarily did, with only some minor mental scarring. It happened. That was enough wondering about a stranger. Now, to plan. |
