Last Sunday's mass was at least 20% smaller than it's ever been. Even around this time of year. Two baptisms were cancelled and three funerals never happened. One guy who went missing a few weeks ago? He just showed up like nothing was wrong and I swear to god he made my brain feel like it had bubbles in it. Gotham is known for being weird, but this is giving me the goddamned creeps.

[No one would be surprised that a mansion this old and this size would be haunted. On Wednesday, all of the lights seem to be working. Except one. A floor lamp in the parlor starts to flicker bright like a beating heart.]

[For anyone keeping tabs on a certain Mansion in Westchester County, the place lights up midweek. It was subtle the first few days, some lights here and there, but the security grid comes online Wednesday, along with some new surveillance and security measures that are extremely high-tech in nature. The record deed has been altered with the county, and it now belongs to someone no one has ever heard of, some alias of Gwen Dailey's that's impossible to trace back to her. Several people are seen on the premises, but there seem to be no children there yet. It appears that if the original occupants return they're going to have some unexpected residents.]

Seems the Avengers are getting assembled. Or that's what Rogers is trying to do.
