Batcave: Selina, Jason, Banner
WHO: Bruce Banner, Selina Kyle, Jason Todd
WHERE: Batcave
WHEN: After Selina's rescuing, cures, and during body snatching aftermath
WHAT: Cures are being made, Selina wakes up.
RATING: Proooobably let's go with PG-13.
For a man who said frequently and sincerely that he avoided stress whenever possible, Bruce was proving the exact opposite. He walked into war zones so this was nothing new, but he always had a sense of calm there. Maybe it was because he knew he was in no trouble. Or that being a doctor made everything easier to focus on. Probably the latter, since whenever there were intense situations, as long as there was medicine involved he was sharp and on point. He felt helpless and hopeless when he first heard about Selina, but the moment he saw the video and it was a problem he could solve, a tranquility came over him. If it would last, that was to be seen.
They got Selina out and Jason brought her straight to the cave. It didn't take long for Bruce to get her onto an IV of fluids, although once her color came back, he took it out. He didn't want her to wake up that way. He took some blood and the IV they gave him of the plagues, and immediately got to work. There was only one moment he took to look over Selina, a soft brush of her hair, and then he had to focus. He did plenty of research as soon as he heard, and he had knowledge of them to begin with. He already started on a few before they arrived there, and swore under his breath once he saw the answer. He set the mixtures he made to the side in case of another day. They never did know when it might be real. Selina was given general antibiotics before he started to search more, just in case. He didn't want to leave anything for chance. It wasn't too serious, since he was flying blind at the time.
He set it aside, and then returned to Selina. She was still out, so he took the time now to look for wounds, to clean or bandage whatever needed it, and to check on her arm. His heart rate went up when the alarms first went off, but they moved quickly to handle it, and he trusted they knew what they were doing. He sent a few searching worried looks at Jason, like right, now before finally explaining. "It was saline. A trick. It's not a disease. I'm going to set aside the formulas I came up with for the plagues regardless, in case he uses something real down the road. But it wasn't real."
