Re: Dream: Finnick & Annie
Annie, too, didn't consider what could be happening here - all that mattered is that they were together. Where it was for five minutes or forever, this was as real as anything to her, particularly in a world where so little made sense when he wasn't there. When he spoke again, her lips curved again, this time in a slow, almost surprised smile. It never ceased to amaze her that this god of the sea had given her his heart. She knew that he had to keep up an act for the Capitol; she knew he traded in secrets and favors. But Annie had never cared about any of that, because she also knew, deep down, that he was a good man.
Her reply, which would have echoed his, was lost when he leaned in to press his lips to hers, and Annie's eyes softened, closing briefly. He never took from her, only offered, giving her his love, and she treasured these moments, these kisses, in a secret part of her heart that no one - even Snow - could ever find. The breaking of the kiss nearly tugged her mouth into a pout as she reopened her eyes and focused on him once again, then gave a small nod.
"Yes - I've been quiet. I've kept my head down, but..." Annie shook her head. "No. I don't want to talk about them - not here. Not now. Please?"
