[Dick Grayson had manners, even when he was 19 he had manners, especially when he was seriously low on friends, and spending most of his time running from door to door hoping to God not to get trapped in some weird zombie apocalypse but being completely unable to sit still for too long. It was weird, no one looking for him though he was definitely at the age where someone somewhere was supposed to be looking for him all the time - but no one was used to that.
But he also thought maybe everyone was exhausted and enjoying the way too quiet, but still not quiet enough quiet time that was happening lately. Sure they had problems. Big ones. But no one was really looking around much at anyone else. And so he had been running around ignoring life's problems and thinking and thinking some more and feeling sorry for himself, and sometimes having fun. And there was that whole swashbuckling adventure thing.
But for now he just kind of wanted to hang out with someone who wasn't in his family, that he didn't know all that well, and didn't know him all that well, but wasn't a complete stranger who might try and kill him either. Jason seemed to like Gwen, and while that might have had Dick steering clear in the good old days, it was a good enough recommendation for him now, and the one time he'd met her - and the few times he'd talked to her he liked her company. It wouldn't kill him to have someone to chat with in the Marvel door every now and again. It wouldn't kill him to branch out.
So on his way to Gotham through the hotel he had used his good sense and good manners and gone through the effort, in advance of clearing off a table, near an exit, that didn't smell and wasn't as manky - because yeah - the dining room was manky. And Dick made it a little less manky, a place you might actually be willing to sit and eat for a little while, and he disinfected the table for good measure. Then through the door he went, filled his duffle bag up with clean clothes, grabbed the food, and was on time meeting Gwen in said manky dining room with two large bags of Thai food. It wasn't just Pad Thai he'd brought back with him, clearly. But that was definitely going to be the main attraction. He wasn't out of breath but his hair was mussed, he had hurried, driving through the streets too fast on his bike - refusing to allow the food to become even the slightest bit cold. It was even in a fancy bag that was made for keeping it warm. Dick the food loving boy scout. Always prepared for take out.
He tucked a long strand of black hair behind his ear when he saw Gwen and smiled. He hadn't seen her since his age down so he was pretty certain he looked....Different.] Don't worry, it's me. I have ID.
