Pregame: Picks up from post here. In that post, Juliet talked to Shawn a little, but wouldn't tell her anything. Which made her want to know what was going on.
Juliet O'hara was lost. There were so many mitigating factors, she didn't know where to start. After a very lengthy talk with Henry, she had made her decision. Any investigation she does in Cardiff has to be a personal vacation. There was no way that Chief Vick would sanction it. She didn't mind, she had vacation time saved up. While she was unable to get a trace, Henry was able to get her a copy of Shawn's cell phone records, unofficially.
She had also reached out to Gus. Of course, it didn't help at all. Gus was Shawn's best friend. Of course he would just claim that Shawn was on an extended vacation. Still, she wasn't buying it. Especially not after the phone call she had with Shawn. Something was wrong. He wasn't coming home and he wouldn't talk to her either. Being the good police officer that she was, she was going to get to the bottom of it.
Her first stop after checking into the hotel was the Cardiff police department. While they had some information, it wasn't very much. Yes, they had seen him. No, they couldn't tell her anything because they didn't know anything. He was fine, physically at least. Mentally, they thought he was as crazy as Lassiter did. Off the record, they told her to look into something called Torchwood, but that was all they would say.
And as much as she wanted to just call Shawn and tell him that she was here, she didn't feel like being that transparent. She wanted to find him, not be found. She had asked around, but nobody would tell her anything about this Torchwood. It was a secret and that's all she could find out.
She was the type that hated not having information. Jules sighed as she wandered into a cafe on the Plass. Rumor has it that this place had the best coffee. And if it was the closest cafe to a top secret organization, how was she supposed to know that?
