SURPRISE!Poweroutage plot!

At the stroke of midnight there was a loud pop, something loud enough to wake everyone in the resort up. Anyone that was already up would mark the fact that all the lights went out at once. Those that were not human would notice that they suddenly were: Vampires would no longer hunger for blood but real food and will lack those more than human powers, Angels would feel that lack of Grace, Wizards suddenly became muggles, Demons would feel their evil fizzle, Mutants would feel that lack of mutation.( I know there are a few critters here and there that aren't exactly human, but you get the point. Everything, except the actual animals- squirrels, birds, deer, bears, wolves, dogs, cats- they stay as they are, is human) Even the Nine would find that he's lost his mojo.

While things that ran directly off of electricity would snap off, things that needed to be charged wouldn't lose their power for a few days. The cell phones will last the longest, so the network will still be accessible, if one is careful with that charge it could last them for a week or more, but without means to charge them, those too would lose their fizzle. The hot water will eventually run out, though the cold water will continue to flow.

(OoC: This is the start of the Surprise!Poweroutage Plot. How long it lasts depends on you. Or more over, your characters. Enjoy it while it lasts!)

A haunting at Ridgeway

Was it a haunting? Or were they all hallucinating? No, he wasn't drugging them. Not this time. Though, no one else would see who the other saw. No one else would be able to touch who they could touch. Though these specters wouldn't be able to do harm to the people he had brought here. And only their subconscious would bring their haunts.

It was a slightly complicated spell, but it was rather easily spread made into the powder form. Standing on one of the stone balconies his breath spread the particles from his palm. Spreading his hands he urged the wind to carry every bit of the dust out over the whole of the resort. It would be in the air they breathed. Very few would be able to avoid it. Only those that didn't have to breathe. Though he did protect the animals, wouldn't do to have spooked animals, because they were seeing what everyone else was. He wouldn't want one of his employees to end up in the clinic because they were thrown from a frightened horse.

Plot Start!

It was time for him to make his return. And he knew there should be something to mark the occasion. Something his employees would notice. He looked out over the resort as he considered the possibilities. The hint of a smile crossed his face as the idea came to him, and lifting his hand, he snapped his fingers. It was time for a little bit of fun.

As they slept, their bodies would change. For some of them, their minds as well. They would travel back in time, more for some than others. They would become children once more. Some would remain unaffected. His resort couldn't be run by children, after all.

((OOC: This is it, folks! The start of the age regression plot. When your chosen pups wake in the morning, they will be transformed in body and mind, or body only, to children. Have fun with it!))

Plot Start!

Having read over a few of the messages made by the people he had collected, he saw that a few had grown bored with the lack of action, with the cooling temperatures yet pleasant skies. There were a few that had their own little dramas to fill the lull between now and the last thing that had happened here. Now it was time for him to do something, to add a little twist to their lives once again.

With a snap of his fingers things began to shift, the guests sent back, with a brief apology and a promise to allow them to return and continue out their fanatic fantasy. As for his employees, those that slept were scattered safely, those who were awake would experience a brief moment as if they had blacked out. When they awoke they would no longer be within the confines of his beloved resort. They were now placed separately within the vast city of New York. The city that stretched across Staten Island.

The city would be as it is in the present time. Cars lining the sidewalks, shops stocked, hot dog vendor carts on every corner. The only thing different is that every single person that made up the over eight million strong population, would now be gone. Domiciles left as if the person had simply gone on vacation, or to work, yet every single being within it had done so on the same exact day, at the same exact time. The population was now replaced by the 59 people that made up his staff.

There were, what he considered, 'small' changes to the island, the vast bridges that linked the island to the rest of the country lacked a large, impassable, section from each. Each of the tunnels flooded, and anyone who knew the Hudson River would never dive into it's murky depths, even if it meant freedom. Those who could fly wound meet an invisible force field ten feet from the opposite shore, another reason no one would want to swim the polluted waters of the rivers that make up the city and island. The only exception being the two little islands that make up the delta, the two most noticeable landmarks before the trade towers had come down: Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty. They could be reached by boat, but nothing farther than the two. The boats, or ferry's, will die once they go past five miles from the farthest point of Statue of Liberty island.

He hoped each and everyone of them enjoyed their holiday in New York city. It would be the only time some of them would see it, and some it would be the only time they would see it decorated for the holidays. The large tree in Rockefeller Center, trimmed up and lit-at night. The Ice Skating rink ready for use. Just in case he would keep an eye on them. Should anything go wrong, he would return them back to the Ridgeway as if they had never left, all they would have is the memories.

Official Beginning to Soul Mates Plot!

James sat up straight in the wingback chair he had placed by the fireplace in his office. He had been awake most of the night because he could sense something was going to happen. He just didn't know what it was, but in that moment, he knew it had.

With Kaelyn having dissappeared once more, away from his domain, he had been enjoying the last week, but dreading this night. Someone was messing with his employees. His people. He knew it, so he sat up straight, concentrating on his people, trying to pinpoint what had happened. Then he saw it, clear on the wrist of one of his favorites, Dawn Summers. That was a band he had seen before, and he knew he would not be able to remove them. Hephaestus must have been circling his world and decided to teach these people a lesson. Only he or they themselves could remove them from thier wrists, but it was impossible to tell what would do it.

He sighed, and sat back in his chair, reserved to the fact he couldn't help them. There would only be one way to find out if it was indeed what he believed, and that was to wait for morning, when they would all awaken.
