Don't call me Sammy. ([info]likeaprodigal) wrote in [info]ridgewayresort,
Feeling the warmth of a smaller hand encircling his, Sam couldn't help but smile a little bit. Her hands were soft. Gentle, too, and Sam felt more comfortable right away. Which was really strange, given the subject matter of the conversation. But, he supposed, it was amazing what a little human contact could do. That and Claire made him feel comfortable in general. He wouldn't let just anyone hold his hand nowadays, but he didn't want to ask her to stop.

So he didn't.

Sam turned his head toward her when Claire mentioned that Bobby had agreed that Sam could do it. Bobby hadn't believed in him in a long time, but even knowing, now that he wasn't there, that he had that back? Sam smiled a little more.

"Bobby believes in me again," he repeated, something of a statement to make himself believe it, too, and it made him smile a little more. "Good. Never thought I'd see that happen," he confessed softly.

Nodding, Sam bit his lip and breathed a sigh of relief. Everyone at home thought he could do this. He knew that it was pretty much all he needed to actually do it. Even Death. When he g-wait. "He gave Dean his ring? Like...just took it off his finger and gave it to him? Just like that?" he asked.

Things like that didn't happen in his world.
