Who: Marian and Heather and maybe Robin or Allan?
What: Marian needs a drink
When: Last night, after Heather got Robin drunk
Where: Somewhere between Marian's cabin and Heather's
Rating: Low
Status: Incomplete

Marian had meant precisely what she told Robin; she needed to have a drink, needed to calm down from the experience of running into the man responsible for her death. Just thinking about the actions directly preceding her second arrival here made her shudder. Guy's blank looks had just made it that much worse. He didn't know what he would do, still thought he wouldn't hurt her. Marian knew better.

Frowning as she hurried down the path, she paused for a moment, as a song floated through the still night air. A maudlin song...punctuated by giggling. Robin had said he'd been drinking...who knew what companions he'd had.

Stepping forward, she peeked around a tree. "Heather?"

She made a noise through her teeth, blowing off that she wasn't drunk. She wasn't the fighting sort though. So even if Marian tried to start one she'd probably get a sodden hug and a good pat.

"Sure! Don't know how much is left though." She slurred a little bit. Offering yet another big drunken grin. "It's the good stuff. T-that bottle cost me... Two hundred bucks I think. But I swiped it from Buono Gusto so that's prob... probbib. probably. why."

There was a pop as the cork was pulled out, Marian taking a gulp and then wincing as the fire spread through her body. The taste left something to be desired, but she didn't really care much at this point.

"Right." The bottle was corked again, Marian offering Heather her free hand. "Shall we? I can't leave you on the ground all night. Let's get you up and tucked in bed."

Taking Marian's hand she crawled so that she stood up. Trying not to knock the other woman over. "Nah." She waved off the offer to go to bed. "I'm okay. B-besides you can't drink alone, that's a dissss..Disease."

She looked down the line of cabins, swaying just a little bit. There were only two cabins between theirs, and hers. But she had hardly made it to the first one. "Less go to your house. Mine is way over there." She waved towards her cabin and almost toppled over again.

"Oops." She made a face. "Y-you know. You and Robin are such nice people. I-I wish you guys had lived in Jericho."

Marian smiled, winding one arm around Heather's waist as they began to weave back to her cabin. It would have been much easier to walk in a straight line had Heather not been quite so drunk.

"Thank you," she nodded. "I'm quite glad we got to meet you, as well. It seems like you can make Robin toe the line." With less antagonism than Marian herself at times.

Of course she didn't know she wasn't walking in a straight line. She made a little bit of a face at the mention of making Robin toe the line. "Huh?" She wasn't firing on all four cylinders.

She was kindof glad that she hadn't made it so far from their cabin. It was a long walk! She stomped her feet a little to get rid of dirt, that wasn't there, from her shoes as she got up on the porch.

"Mister Jerkface... he better not cause troubles. Or-or I'm gonna run him over with Bertha." Thanks to Robin, and Allan, she detested a man she didn't even know. Which wasn't a normal character trait for her.

Marian frowned slightly, guiding Heather up the steps, almost tripping herself as the girl began stomping her feet. "Mister Jerkface?" Three guesses and the first two didn't count.

"And who is Bertha?"

"Yeah the guy... Uh..." She giggled as she realized that the guy's name was guy. "Um The one... His name is Guy I think, he's jerkface. I don't like him." She shook her head enough to stagger herself again.

"Bertha is my atv that I use to get carry stuff around the resort. She's a big girl. And she has mud tires so I can go off the trail." She twisted the knob. And pushed the door open.

He'd known this was a bad idea. One part of his mind was really enjoying the lack of thinking about much at all, the other was telling him to stop pretending he didn't want to, and just go and find Gisborne and be done with it. It was just a case of which side would win, in the end.

And Heather was a thief. Forget robbing nobles of their riches and taking the Sheriff's money. This was a worse kind of villainous behaviour. He had left to find Marian, sure. But she had taken the last of the whisky. So now he was back, and had nothing to drink. Still, there couldn't have been much left, and Leah always had plenty of things in the kitchen. He'd just find what he was looking for in there. He'd tried the fridge, and most of the cupboards. That just left the last one. The sound of familiar voices outside followed by the door opening distracted him before he got to it.

Once inside, Marian guided Heather to the sofa, losing her balance, herself, as the girl almost toppled backwards onto the cushions. It was fine, though. Settling beside her, Marian opened the whiskey once more, taking a greedy mouthful. There wasn't much left, true, but it should be just enough to do the job.

She shifted a bit, moving back into the corner, head tilting back though eyes focused on the door. Robin had said he would meet her here. "I think that it's a wonderful idea," she informed Heather. "Even if he doesn't remember stabbing me."

Guy had seemed so lost, so confused at the thought that he might actually hurt her... Perhaps he was still a good- No. That kind of thinking had led her down the path to death. She would just focus on something else. The bottle was lifted to her lips for another large gulp. Or two.

She turned over once she made it to the couch. "I'd make a mess though. And probably wouldn't do more than break a few bones." She scrunched her nose. "Angel hurt her, but he was a vampire... I wonder what hitting him would do to Bertha."

She watched Marian take a few sips from the green and white crock. She couldn't help but lick her lips as she did so. "I-I shoulda went to get some more. The Velvet room's not far away." But she hadn't even made it to the her own cabin, her drunkenness was against her as far as making it to any where to acquire more whiskey.

"Y-you know I watched him do that thing that he did to you... He's a big ol'... Ol... buttmonkey. If I hadn't been cryin' I would have punched him in the face. Broke that big nose of his." Her words were quite slurred as she shifted her gaze up to the ceiling. Telling in her way that she had watched their show.

Marian's frown deepened at that, gaze darting back to Heather. "You've had enough for one night. I'm just trying to catch up." A third gulp before what the other girl said dawned on her.

"You saw it? You saw the whole thing? You saw me...?" Marian couldn't explain the different feelings running through her; partially glad that Heather knew exactly what had happened without her having to explain it, though also upset that her entire life was being viewed as entertainment.

One hand moved up, rubbing her eyes. "I had a deal with him," she muttered. "I'd marry him if he'd just rid the world of Vaisey...and then he sided with the man anyway. He tried to kill the King." The King. God's appointed sovereign.

Walking out of the kitchen with the bottle of...whatever it was he'd found, he wasn't completely sure, Robin caught the end of what Marian said as he sank down on to the couch on the other side of her.

"A deal with him," his tone conveyed just what he thought of that. "That was your first mistake." Lifting the bottle to his lips he took a sip, pleased to find it tasted remarkably like the earlier stuff, though probably not quite as nice. He shook his head. "He won't last a day in this place..."

"Yeah, I have nightmares. And I woke up from one, the other night and called Allan." She nodded as if that explained everything. At this point she probably would have done anything Allan asked her to do. Short of hurting her friends of course.

"Yeah the big ol' jerk was going to make you marry him anyway!" She squealed as if she couldn't believe how twisted that part was. In the same squeal she welcomed Robin as he sat down and put in his two cents. "Robin!" A bit wide grin spreading over her lips, as if she hadn't just seen him thirty minutes ago.

Eying the bottle she wondered if he would share or not. Willing to let Marian have the rest of the good stuff if she got just a little sip of the cheap stuff.

"It was my only choice!" Marian defended herself. "I was in irons, and you," her finger pointed almost accusingly at Robin, "I thought you were dead." Lower lip pushed itself out. "It didn't matter if I married Gisborne if you were dead. So what would you have had me do? Watch him kill the King and then get taken by him anyway?"

It was a rhetorical question, and Marian didn't wait for a response, drinking deeply. It had been a lose lose situation.

((ooc: I thought that was how it went, the Sheriff told Marian that Robin would be dead, and at some point, she made the bargain with Guy... Could be wrong, as I've never actually seen the episode in question, but...Amy couldn't help me, nor could Wikipedia))

Robin glanced over at Heather momentarily at her excited greeting, but was distracted by Marian's outburst as he drank more of the foul whisky he'd found. She was defending him, still. Well maybe not exactly but she might as well have been.

"Not the first time," he said quietly. "The first time I brought you that...you know, that," damn it all, what was it called? "That necklace, so he wouldn't know the truth, and you just said sorry and shut the window in my face." All right, so perhaps that was still a slightly bitter point. She'd also said she despised him that day. He wondered if she remembered that.

"But it's not your fault," he amended. "It's his fault. It's all his fault, and he's going to regret it."

(OOC: Do you mean in 213? Because yeah, at that point when Marian is in the Holy Land she thinks Robin is dead, killed by the Sheriff's mercenaries)

Oh she remembered, alright. She remembered quite a lot of their battles, always ready to throw something back in his face. Still at the reminder she almost flinched. "Yeah, well," she muttered. "Seemed like my only choice at the time..." She always had a reason for her actions, just sometimes the execution left something to be desired.

A soft sigh. "Don't do anything..." she searched for a word. Stupid? No, that would just start an argument, "Be careful. I don't want you to miss our wedding."

"Only choice?" Robin scoffed. "Aren't you the one always singing that favourite line of yours? 'Everything is a choice', remember? Just when it suits you, though." He leaned back heavily in the chair then, looking away, aware that they were having this almost argument in front of someone else. That would do them no good.

"Of course I'll be careful. It's not as if he could..." No, his foggy mind told him, that wasn't right. Gisborne was capable of hurting him. Still. "I won't miss the wedding. We don't know when that is, anyway."

It would do them no good, but Robin was the one who had started this and Marian certainly wasn't going to bite anything back on Heather's count.

"What would you have had me do?" She retorted, voice a low hiss. "Be thrown into the dungeons or executed by the Sheriff? Watch my father be punished?" Yes there were choices, but sometimes it was a question of choosing the lesser evil.

A sigh as she huffed, shifting her position, curling up on the couch. That whiskey was tasting better and better. There was no use arguing over it, nothing to be gained from it, but she couldn't prevent herself from continuing, "If you have a better idea of how I should have handled that, let me know, otherwise please just..." Shut the hell up.

A shake of her head. Did he even wish to marry her if all they could do was argue?

She sat up and waved her hand between the two. "Heey guys. You shouldn't fight with eachother cause you're mad that Jerkface is here." She leaned towards Robin and snagged the bottle from him. "You have had too much. I'm cuttin' you off." In the case of the kettle calling the pot black, she brought the bottle to her lips and took a sip before she offered it back.

Shuttering as the cheaper amber liquid coursed down her throat. She couldn't help but make a face. "Besides that's all stuff that happened, and she's marrying you now so it doesn't matter." She glanced between the two. "Besides, it's not like she loved him, he was just a pervy stalker." If she was in her right mind she would have brought up that women didn't really have much of a choice untill about 90 years ago. But she didn't think about all the historical facts, instead she leaned back against the rear cushions of the couch. "Right?" Her gaze shifted to Marian. She wasn't one to take sides. But she was willing to work for both sides.

"You were never willing to listen to me back then," he said as he reached across her, taking the bottle back from Heather. "Back then I was a fool for running off and taking to the forest, remember? And why are we even talking about this. It's done. You can't change the past. Or, according to this place, the future," he added wryly, taking a big drink.

"Yeah," he said, glancing over at Heather. "She never loved him." Did he sound doubtful then? He couldn't tell. He was sure he hadn't meant to. "Anyway, you shouldn't be worrying about it. Why don't you just...send Allan a message or something. Tell him what you think of him," he said with a laugh, pushing away his earlier mood in an instant.

They were talking about it because Robin had butted in to her conversation with Heather. Marian settled for sticking her tongue out at him, leaning back against the couch, frown stuck on her face. All very well for Robin to immediately change moods, but Marian was apparently a sad drunk.

"Doofus she's got a choice here there are more guys here than just you and him. Some of 'em would give their left leg to date the legendary Lady Marian. And she still picked you. Even though you wanna give her a hard time for choices she felt she had to make." She couldn't help but defend Marian, since she was sitting all quiet like. She stuck her tongue out at him too. So much for not taking sides. She couldn't help but offer the other woman a pat on the knee. "If that doesn't spell L-O-V-E I don't know what does." She felt that she knew it best how people got picked over herself. She was almost an expert!

She gave Robin an narrow eyed look, her cheeks going almost instantly pink at the idea of any contact with that particular merry man. But once the idea was planted in her head she couldn't get rid of it. So she hauled out her phone. Sticking her tongue out the corner of her mouth it took a few minutes, compared to the seconds if she wasn't inebriated, to type out the message. Then she dispelled into little giggles, as she waited for a response.

"Yeah you would take her side." Though he said it with a bit more amusement as he was watching her attempt to send a message to Allan. He was supposed to feel more loved because she wasn't off lining up the guests and picking her favourite? How long had it taken her to forgive him anyway? And just how many times were they going to go over this age old argument? It was ridiculous.

"No one's on my side when it comes to this," he muttered. "I just get accused of...pouting, or whatever it was you said. You'd be doing that too if your most hated enemy showed up here to ruin everything." He was done with this. Leaning forward he sat the bottle on the table, sitting back in the chair. No more drunken conversation, it was far too honest.

"He's not going to ruin everything," Marian answered. "Because We're not going to let him." Wasn't that right, Robin?

Without waiting for an answer, Marian's hand was slipping into Robin's, head tilting to one side to rest against his shoulder. "No matter how much we argue and fight and make bad decisions, I don't want to marry anyone else. And I won't let him interrupt our wedding."

Big blue eyes met his, perhaps a bit worried. "You don't want anyone else, do you? Someone who doesn't argue with you, someone who wouldn't agree to marry someone else?" He wouldn't. Would he? The very thought made her sad...or she would be sad until the reality set in and she got angry again.

Robin's mood was apparently not the only one that changed in an instant.

"Damn skippy!" She agreed with Marian, regardless to if she was included in the 'we' or not. There was no way she'd let jerkface ruin anything if she could help it. She'd fought off zombies... She wasn't about to let some Guy from the 12th century come in and mess stuff up.

"You guys are so cute." She couldn't help but be in awe at just how adorable the two were. Though once her phone vibrated she evaporated into giggles. As she, yet again, stuck her tongue out to type out another message. Biting her lip. She closed the phone again.

Frowning, he slipped an arm around her, leaning down to press a kiss to the top of her head. He hadn't meant for her to think that way, was honestly surprised she could.

"Why would I want anyone else? I love you, Marian. I always have, you know that. And we've always argued. It doesn't change anything." He glanced over at Heather, rolling his eyes at her comment. Then watching in interest as she started giggling.

"Just what are you saying to him?"

"Good," Marian answered, head tilting to peck Robin's cheek. She settled against him, with a soft smile. A good thing he hadn't confirmed her worries, or else he would have found himself drenched in whiskey.

"Or what is Allan saying to her?" Marian questioned. "That is the question." Rousing herself, she leaned over towards, Heather, deftly snatching the phone from her hands before she settled back against Robin, scrolling through the messages. "Hmmm...." Very interesting.

She couldn't help but feel the warm sweetness of their little nest. If she had been sober she might have felt like she was intruding on something. But she had been brought back here. How adorable they were together kept a bright grin on her face.

She squeaked when Marian took the phone from her. Her eyes going wide as saucers. "Noo... He... I... Oh pooh." She couldn't help but pout slightly as she didn't fight the inevitable. An idea hit her, she sniffled softly, batted her big blue eyes and made her lower lip twitch just a little. Doing her best impression of the puppy dog eyes.

Grinning as Marian snatched the phone from Heather, he read the messages as she scrolled through them. "The sad face won't work Heather," he said with a smirk, barely looking away from the phone. Then when he saw what she'd said he glanced up at her.

She could feel the blush growing as it crept over her cheeks at the, almost mocking, complement. Almost as soon as Marian handed the phone back she felt it vibrate. That broad grin back into place as she read the newer message. "You are a cheater you told him I liked him, that's cheating."

She took her time to type out a response. "His eyes are pretty. They're big and they're summertime sky blue" She batted her lashes dramatically again, placing her hand over her heart for emphasis. She nodded at Marian. "We are, we are... Well sortof. He's gonna teach me how to shoot a bow and arrow, even though Robin already showed me. After you guys get married." She couldn't hardly wait. She read yet another message, she knew she was blushing from it, because her mouth had dropped open. Her hand came up to fan her face. Her gaze shifted from Marian to Robin then back to the Lady. Should she say? She swallowed thickly before closing the phone and tucking it behind her back.

"Nothing, nothing at all." She couldn't help but mouth holy cow. Her eyes closing tight for a moment. Was it bad that she had a brief picture of him doing exactly what he'd said he'd do?

She cleared her throat and made a wild attempt at changing the subject. "He said to say that 'At least someone think's he's pretty.'" Okay so no that wasn't the last thing he said. But it was something he'd said! Even in her alcohol sluggish mind she knew she would need to go home and take a nice cold shower.

Robin grinned at that, leaning down to kiss her again. If this wasn't proof enough to her that everything was fine between them, then nothing would be. They might argue a lot, but he always found the making up enjoyable. Very, very enjoyable.

Looking up, he laughed at Heather. "Your denial's fooling no one, you know." At her mention of Allan's comment, he rolled his eyes. "He's just saying that because everyone loves me, you see. That would make anyone jealous." He might have been talking nonsense now, but it was much more preferable to the mood he was in earlier. So he didn't particularly care what was said of that.

It was, indeed. And since they'd moved in together the makeups had gotten even more enjoyable, still. Marian shifted, moving closer still.

"Y-your drunk you'll forget in a minute..." She told Robin. Yeah that was her defense on the whole denial front. Though she wasn't sure if he would forget in a moment, she did know she'd forget in a minute. Then she'd have to look at it again. Not that that was completely a bad thing. She chewed on her lower lip. "Yeah,"She agreed that everybody loved Robin, who wouldn't? "But he is pretty." She couldn't help but sound a little whimsical. She hadn't been on that 'dating' cusp in a while. It was nice. It felt new.

She watched as they were all snugly with each other. She couldn't help but be a little goofy with it. "You two are the epit-epitome of the l-legendary. And you're like everybody else, which is so cool. Y-you beat out King Arthur and Guinevere beat with a b-big ol' boot."

"Only you my love," he assured Marian with a cheeky smile. Regardless of the look he gave her, it was, and always would be the truth. He would never love another, he knew that for a fact.

"I never forget," he assured Heather, still cheeky but with a completely assured tone. He knew that to be fact, too. "You really should not say such things about King Arthur and Lady Guinevere. They are legends. Thornton used to tell me the most incredible stories about them when I was young," he mused.

Marian yawned, shaking her head. "I never liked the part where Arthur left her in Mordred's care while he went to war...." Another pause for a yawn. "He should have taken her with him. Or chosen someone else. Poor Guinevere; no choice in the matter." Mordred had declared himself King and she'd just been another spoil.

She pouted, lower lip jutting out once more. That part had always made her mad and now it hit a little too close to home.

Regardless of weather he remembered or not even tipsy she wasn't going to share the slightly pervy things her and Allan had said to each other. She was glad the subject changed though. "There's nothing wrong with them. They just aren't my favorite." But of course she'd grown up with stories about them both. But she'd always had more of a preference for Lancelot than the King.

She caught Marian's yawns, even foggy she knew she needed to go home. "I-I think I should go. So you guys can go to bed." She nodded and almost fell over. Shaking her head she tried to work a few of the alcohol cobwebs from her head.

At her yawn, Robin looked over at her, then gave Marian an amused look. "She's just saying that because of the messages Allan's been sending. You know what he's like, he's probably already in her room."

Jesting aside, Marian had been yawning too, and disentangling himself from her he stood, holding out a hand to her. "Do you want me to walk back with you Heather? You could just sleep here if you want." Not that he didn't think she'd be able to make it very far in her current condition, of course.

There was a soft noise of protest as Robin pulled away, though she moved, curling up into his warm spot. "Stay," Marian replied, nodding. "I found you halfway to your cottage, and that was before you had more to drink." If Robin wasn't saying it, Marian certainly was. She didn't think Heather could make it back safely.

"Unless you have Allan waiting for you..."

They were saying she should stay... She looked between the two, Robin standing there his hand out. She put her hand in it and pulled herself up with his help, staggering a little, holding onto him until she was sure she wasn't going to fall over. The room moved a little though, but she was sure she could stand up. She let go and stood a little straight, though she swayed a little. "H-he might be. O-or he might show up when I wake up." He hadn't said either way. He was often there when she woke up from nightmares.

She glanced between Robin then Marian then Robin again. Scrunching her nose she shook her head, and almost fell over again. "I'll be okay. I can.. I can get home I think." She grinned suddenly, "I'll just follow the rocks this time. I tried to take a short cut last time." She nodded slowly this time, so she wouldn't tip over.

There was no way she was going to make it back, even if she thought she would. She looked as though the second she let go of him she was going to fall flat on her face. "Yeah, I bet he will be," he said with a smirk of Allan showing up in her room.

"If you really don't want to stay, then I'll walk you back. Just to be sure." He might have been drunk too, but he obviously wasn't quite as drunk as she was. Her talk of following the rocks had him picturing her falling on to the rocks.

"Don't be gone too long," Marian requested, one eye sliding open. "I might get jealous and have to come looking for you." She wouldn't really get jealous; Heather and Robin were good friends, true, but he wouldn't do anything like that....not with the wedding approaching.

He put a hand on Heather's back, steering her toward the door as she stumbled. He looked back over his shoulder at Marian's request, or was that a demand? Either way, he knew she wasn't entirely serious about the jealous comment.

"Wouldn't dream of it," he said with a wink, walking out the door with Heather.

She snorted softly. "You have no faith in me at all huh?" She opened the door as they approached it. She only stumbled a few times thanks to his steering. The drunk leading the drunk. Was that ever a good idea?

Her steps were deliberate when they reached the edge of the porch. She was proud of herself when she reached the ground without tripping! The hard part was over... Or at least it was until she reached more steps.
