Who: Heather, Robin and Gabriel(?)
When: After this.
Where: The Titanic!
What: Robin has lured Heather onto the ship. Though it didn't take much.
Warning: None!

Heather was practically bouncing on the balls of her feet. It took every ounce of her will power not to do her little nerdy dance right there. And not to squeal. She was geeking out almost as much as she did when she first met Robin. But of course he didn't see it cause it was on the network.

Okay so she wasn't all that excited about seeing the captains cabin. The bridge would have been better, in her opinion. Not that she wasn't interested in historic papers and charts and all that. She was... just a little less than she was in the mechanics of the ship... Or what was in the cargo hold. But Robin wanted to go, so she'd go. Maybe there was something nifty in there...

She stood at the front of the bow. Itching to climb up on the very point and spread her arms. But she was resisting that too. Because... she hated that movie... didn't she?

"We're on the freaking Titanic!" Okay she couldn't hold back anymore, as she squealed with girlish glee.

Robin grinned widely at her reaction. He'd been waiting for that. He leaned forward over the railing beside where she was standing, looking down at the water. "I keep wondering where it all goes," he mused aloud. The lake was not that deep. There was no way it could be. He had his bow, quiver and sword with him, mostly because she wanted him armed. He doubted, no, knew, they would not need them.

Truth be told, he was not as interested in the Captains cabin as the bridge himself. But he had to take her there. Half the time he couldn't remember why. For a while, Cas' suspicion had reminded him. But the last thing he wanted to do was worry Heather enough that she didn't go. Somehow he knew if they didn't go, something bad would happen.

"So, where to first? You pick." They had a little time.

"There's no telling." She bent over the railing, the little kid in her screamed to toss something over the side. But she didn't carry anything that she was willing to lose to the watery depths. "I haven't ever been to the bottom, have you?" Straightening up she grinned a little impishly at him.

"I thought you said you wanted to go to the Captain's cabin first." Why not get the bor- educational part over with? Part of her just wanted to run through the halls, open every door that was unlocked and play hide n go seek. But she'd do what Robin wanted to do first.

He shot her an amused look at that question, and the impish grin on her face. "No, I can't say I was ever filled with a need to find out how far down the lake went."

He shrugged. He thought he was doing okay in not making a big deal out of it, when really he wanted to take her straight there. "We can see something else first if you'd like. And there is the pressing matter of a game of hide and seek, as I recall."

"Me neither, something about it has always given me the heebee jeebees." She played up a shiver that ran down her spine. "Plus I'm shorter than you it'd take me forever to get to the bottom." She might have done something like it when she was younger. But now she wasn't sure she could.

She grinned broadly. "Really? We can play first?" She might be too old to swim down to the very bottom of the lake, but she wasn't to old for other things. Of course it meant she didn't have the advantage he did. And she had the bells... But it would make for a fun game.

"Why? It's just a lake. I just don't think it would be all that exciting to swim to the bottom." The last time he'd done something even remotely similar had been when he had saved Matilda from her dunking, when she had been falsely accused by the sheriff of being a witch.

"Yes, we can play first," he told her with an amused, if indulgent, smile. He loved seeing her smile, he couldn't deny it. And it wouldn't take all that long. "So, since you're making so much noise...I'll let you decide who hides first."

"Well... You can't see the bottom, even when the sun is right over head. But the water's clear. I guess I've probably watched to many spooky movies with Tony. But that just says creepy crawlies to me." That and the zombies had come out of the bottom of the lake. Something always stuck with her that there may be one or two left, deep down somewhere. One she didn't want to see.

"Well since you know all the hiding places, I'm gonna hide first. And you can try to find me." She turned around and smacked the head of the ship. "This is base. And you gotta count to... one-hundred and fifty." Which meant she would have to count to one-hundred and fifty when it was his turn but it would give her time enough to run down to the state rooms or something, and find a small space to hide. "Oh! Much has a nickname. Did I tell you? He's gonna be Uncle Muchie. He thought it was weird. But I think it suits him."

"That just means it's deep. There's nothing too odd about that. And when the sun is overhead, you can't see the bottom because you can only see the reflection that it casts on the surface of the water." The only creepy crawlies down there were perhaps some fish.

"Alright," he laughed, setting his bow down to lean against the railing beside him when she hit the front of the ship. "One hundred and fifty." Her name for Much prompted another laugh. "I bet he was thrilled about that. You best be running, I will count quickly," he told her with a grin before turning around to face the other direction.

"One...." He began purposefully slowly, teasing.

"If you're hanging your head over it to shadow part, or if you have goggles and have a peek from a boat or something is what I meat." She stuck her tongue out. They were about to play a kids game, why not be a little childish from the start?

"He will be thrilled when it spreads to your kids." She answered with a snort. She was already starting down toward the first class stairs. When he started counting. She practically had a map of the ship memorized. She might not know it first hand but she did have an idea where everything was. Gong down to the second floor she ran down to a random door. Turned the knob and let off a little squeal of glee when it opened. Of course her bells were jingling the whole time. The room she picked must have belonged to the outspoken Unsinkable Molly Brown. One of the few survivors. Though now she was long dead of course. But not likely to haunt the ship, if anything did. Panting as she took in the room, after a moment or two, she decided under the bed would be her best bet.

Lifting the ruffle she shimmied beneath. If it was another few weeks she wouldn't have been able to do this. Once hidden in the shadows, she let the ruffle fall. And just lay in wait. Normally she would have waited for Robin to pass by this hiding spot and go for another. Keep moving, as she had a number of times when she was a kid. But wearing the bells... she'd give herself away as soon as she moved.

"Of course you did," he smirked at the poked out tongue. He'd have to think of something good in return, later. Like making the old adage about the wind changing come true and making her face stick that way.

He listened to the sound of her jingling as she ran away for as long as he could. On the quiet of the ship, the noise carried. He could tell she went down a level. He'd expected that. The top deck would be too obvious. Once he got to some number around one hundred and fifty, he hadn't been all that concerned with being exact, he picked up his bow and headed down to the second floor. He kept relatively quiet as he checked one room, and then another. He didn't want her to hear him coming. Opening a third door at random, he stepped in to the room and walked slowly in, after shutting it behind him.

Would it be cheating to use what Petersen had given him? Probably. But he had a feeling about this room.

Heather figured he would have just waited for her to go quiet. Rather than actually count to one-hundred and fifty. That was why she made especially sure to be as still as she could once she did find her hiding spot. When he opened the door she'd chosen it took all she had not to squeal. She hadn't heard even a step. Maybe he needed the bells more than she did.

Catching a peek of his boots from beneath the ruffle caused her to hold her breath. Not wanting a bell to shift even in the slightest with him that close. She wondered if he'd used his Mojo or if she'd simply made enough racket that he was able to pick which floor and which room from that. Either way... He still had to find her first.

He walked further in to the room, stopping by the bed as he glanced around the rest of the room. He moved over to the cupboard next, before glancing in to the little bathroom. There weren't many places she could be in these rooms, and like he had in the other rooms, he was only left with checking under the bed.

Moving back to its side, he leaned down to pick up the ruffle. And didn't even have to do that, the light catching one of her silly bells. "I win."

She knew she was had. Even before he lifted the ruffle. "I shoulda made a run for it when you checked the bathroom. And I would have... but... I'm stuck." Of course she would be. Wiggled to the point of one of the bars and held her hand out to him. "I'm not used to the boobs. I under compensate for them in everything I do lately."

She tried to find purchase with her toes, and wiggle out a little farther. "And you better no laugh or... Or I'll..." well she couldn't do much, he had the mojo after all. Though she was tempted to be sneaky and get Marian to tape something booblike to his chest. Maybe with duct tape...

"It would have done you little good. I can hear you a mile away with those ridiculous things," he teased. He wasn't being seriously insulting, he just happened to think the bells were hilarious, not to mention unnecessary.

With a smile he took the hand she offered, pulling her out as she wiggled herself further forward. "You make an impressive picture right now. But I'm not laughing. I promise." Though it was a close thing.

"Well I am," Gabriel chuckled. "Hello kids." He learned against the door jam, his arms folded over his chest. "Nice to see you have found a new playground." His words were casual but there was an unease to him. He was there for business, to protect. He would rather have been about anywhere else. One, as it turned out, really was enough.

But he didn't want to poop on the party. "Did I hear something about cars?"

With Robin's help she wiggled until she was out from beneath the bar. The floor just didn't give much traction under a bed. Once she was out, she stuck her tongue out at Gabriel and Robin. "Last time that happened I worked on the problem area... I guess I have to wait a little while to work on the new one." She wrapped her arms around Robin's middle and squeezed. "He was just indulging me. Call me weird but one of the big things I wanted to do, if I ever got the chance, though being born when I was kinda made it impossible, was play hide n go seek on the Titanic. I even wrote a report about why it would be great when I was twelve." And she knew only two people would have played with her. Robin, and Tony. They did like to let her indulge in that childish side.

"Oh yeah, but I promised Robin we could go to the Captain's cabin first. Cause I'd probably drool over the cars for a while." Another thing she could go on and on about forever. Those cars. They just didn't engineer cars that way anymore. Now it was all about making the parts as cheaply as possible and charging astronomical prices for something it cost them a dime to create.

He grinned at the response, still attempting not to laugh, when she hugged him. At the same time he glanced over at Gabriel. He could read the uneasiness there. But he didn't make comment. "Though she does need to work on her hiding skills," he told him lightly.

"I read in this book that he wrote down everything that was happening in his log. I thought it would be interesting to read." He started to the door, knowing Heather at the least would follow. "Not that I plan to take it. I'm not the theiving kind," he added with a wink to the archangel as he passed him

"People did, you know. Play hide and seek. I mean, what else would you do on the biggest ship in the world? Sometimes I even let them win." The angel's voice was reserved, subdued. "As for the log, I'm thinking we let Heather decide what she wants to do next. This is, after all, her playground. Though, you don't need a log to find out everything that happened."

He glanced around the room and wondered where the paintings were. So much art that his sister would love to get her hands on. Apparently it was worth some money but Gabe didn't care about that. Some of it had been pretty.

"Whooooa wait a minute." She had followed Robin until Gabriel mentioned he 'let people win'. Setting those bells to jingle. "Gabriel. Were you on the ship?" Her eyes were wide, as she watched him take in the art. She snagged Robin's shirt. Making a bit of a monkey face at him, as if it was something he might have known and neglected to tell her.

She was practically set to sit on the floor at Gabriel's feet, in the Unsinkable Molly Brown's room, ready to hear things first hand. She knew it had to be traumatizing. But he lived through it, of course. But if Gabriel didn't want to talk about it. Heather wasn't about to pick at the Archangel.

Somehow Robin was convinced Gabriel was doing that on purpose. As if he wanted to make them wait that much longer, just to get to him. "Of course he's seen it, he's probably seen most of everything." He bit back his impatience, putting on an amused look at Heather's expression when she grabbed his shirt, turning back to face her.

"And now you're here Wouldn't you rather see it for yourself than listen to someone else talk about it? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity."

"Yes. I was on the ship and yes I can answer anything you want to know except for the things I don't want to talk about which is kinda a lot. Still, feel free to have a try. Some of it I can talk on for hours. You should have tried the custard" He didn't move any further into the room. He wasn't feeling nostalgic.

Gabriel noticed Robin tension. He didn't comment on it. Robin knew he was tense and he knew why. He didn't need to be drawing attention to the fact that he knew Robin was tense. He waited calmly for Heather's answer and hoped she went with cars.

Robin did have a point. Wasn't Gabriel older than humanity? But still... She glanced back and forth between Gabriel and Robin. A simple question... Maybe... "Was there any truth to that lame movie? At all? You know besides the sinking part..." Okay so maybe secretly she didn't think it was sooo lame. But she wasn't going to let onto that. She hoped anyway.

"It's hard to pick what's better, straight from the horses mouth or... the visuals." Heather shrugged at Robin. Though she did't wanna grill Gabriel either, knowing he had to know some of the people. And no doubt there had been some really good people lost. But then she wasn't going to try to be the pain in the ass she was with Robin, and pick his brain til he spilled.

He could sense something was going on with Gabriel. Did he know? Could he see more than he let on? He was having more and more trouble acting as though he was the person he had inhabited. Their friend, this Robin. Cas had almost caught on for a moment or two there. Had seemed to figure him out. But he'd managed to reassure him that he was this Robin, and not William Murdoch, First Officer. But then this was a stubborn one. As choices go, it was a good one. Lots of power here. But he kept trying to fix things. Kept trying to tell them, and stop them. He had to act quickly.

"Gabriel will always be here to ask. Who knows how long the ship will be." And if that wasn't a winning argument, what was? He had her now, he was sure of it. Forget the angel, he'd deal with him later.

As he walked further down the hall, and got to the doorway, ready to enter the captains cabin, his hand, or more accurately Robins hand, shot out, grabbing the door frame so suddenly he had to stop so he didn't jerk forward ridiculously. Making a fist, he lowered it to his side again. He really had to act quickly.

"Yes. There was some." He answered but didn't invite more conversation. Now here and now. Maybe later. Back home. Then he could talk.

He watched Robin argue against him answering. He decided to play along. He reached for Heather's hand. "You know, they got Mr Andrews in the film. He was a nice man. And it wasn't his fault as it turned out." He nodded knowingly.

His eyes spent most of their time on Robin, though. He watched him at the captain's door. He tilted his head.
"Why don't you get the log and bring it to the storage deck? We can see the cars and look at the log in comfort?

She let Gabriel take her hand, she squeezed it lightly when he did. "He was one of the designers wasn't he?" She knew Thomas Andrews went down with the ship, just like the Captain.

"Oh gosh, I don't think anyone could say it was his fault, he did intend for there to be more than enough life boats. And who could predict that it would hit an iceberg?" Though after she'd said it Heather realized that maybe the Archangel had known, maybe that was why he was on the ship. No doubt it had to have been a hard thing to live through. For just a moment her chin quivered for her friend. Stepping a little closer she leaned her head against his shoulder turning her face into it just enough to place a little kiss against the fabric. "I wont ask anymore."

Her eyes moved to Robin. "Hey that's a good idea. A good compromise, don't ya think? And you can sit behind the wheels of one of those old cars and I can see which one fits you best." Heather wouldn't dare take one of the ships cars, but she'd make Robin one while she still could. Maybe with Gibbs' help.

The angel was grating on his nerves. Something would have to be done about him. He was going to have to decide what to do about this, and quickly. He suspected Heather was going to agree to Gabriel's idea of a compromise. He held back his own comments on Andrews. Robin wasn't supposed to know about him, after all. Not really.

Maybe with the power in this one he could deal with Gabriel. He was sure, if he could figure out how to tap in to it, he could manage something. For now, though, it seemed he would have to be patient, and bide his time for his Captain. Surely he would understand.

With a careless shrug, he moved away from the door again. "Since it's two against one," he offered a smile. "I can be charitable." He moved back down the short distance to join them. Let the angels suspicions try and work out this one.

He'd bring them back by force if he had to.
