Sirius’ brain had stopped working hours ago. He had been tired for over a month now but today was even worse. For over an hour he had starred at the coffee mug which content had kept him alive during the day. Nicolas had been cranky for the last two days and somehow Gen had decided that she needed to cry whenever her brother did. Maybe they just missed Lily as much as he did. In a way Sirius found comfort in this thought.

Slowly, Sirius was beginning to settle into a baby caring routine. Handling them got easier every week; he found new spells that helped him and new ways to stop their crying. He still had a hard time connecting to them. Sometimes he thought that he might eventually be able to love them and even felt his heart warm when one of them smiled or stretched out their little finger. But then there were times when he looked at them and felt like they were just a duty that made his life harder, that spoiled his second chance at life before he had to return to the nightmare that was his first.

Sighing, Sirius got up from the kitchen table to refill his mug with the brown treasure.

	As soon as her hair was back to black she smiled brightly. "Any other color than orange, is fine. I just... really dislike the color orange." She didn't mind him being mischievous, not this time. But no good feelings were put with the color Orange. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	He took a step back and eyed Laura. He then lifted his hand and made a few complicated movements with his wand, murmering the right incantation. Laura's hair changed into blue, red and white strands. "There! You are the Union Jack!" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Laura ran her fingers through it to expose all the different colors, and gave a little tickled bark of laughter. "I like it." She answered. "But I am not sure Gabriel will." 	"What's there not to like about blue, red and white hair?" He grinned at her. "But it will probably wear off in about a week anyway. So, don't worry. And if it doesn't just ask me. Laura shrugged, unsure what there was to dislike about having multicolored hair... "Well I wouldn't be able to stalk anyone very well." She added after a moment's thought.

"I'm not sure, I haven't decided if I want to accentuate my stomach or hide it. Not that there is any reason to hide it." Her hand spread over her growing baby bump. "If I accentuate I may do as I did last year and paint it. If I hide it I may simply dress as Alice from Alice in Wonderland." She had plotted in doing that last year, in fact still had the costume. But the resort had other plans.
