Jaz laughed a little bit. "You sure this is really your color?" she asked, looking at the shoes and wondering if she shouldn't have gone for the green ones instead. She sat down, leaning back on her hands and crossing her legs at the ankle, swatting a bug off of her leg.

"I was-" she pondered lying, but figured that since she'd been honest with everyone else, why not just get it out of the way up front here, too. "I was in the CIA. The paranormal investigation division. Worked with a vampire, all that fun stuff," she mused, unwrapping a hair tie from her wrist and pulling her hair back. "Before I was sucked into the vortex, I was being ripped to shreds by a soul sucker, so I've almost been dead, and Mick Jagger freaks me out," she quipped, half-smiling. "Same questions."
