WHO: Anna & Captain Jack
WHEN: Friday night
WHERE: Anna's room
WHAT: no idea
RATING: tbd

Anna had gotten out of bed once today. She got up to shower. That was about it. She really didn't have any reason to get out of bed. Aiden was still with Crowley, the ghosts of her siblings were still wandering around telling her what an abomination he was, and she was tired of dealing with it. She turned up the TV and ate the loudest food she could. She was surprisingly relieved when Jack posted a message for her.

In fact, her mood in general was starting to improve after talking to him. To think, Jack Sparrow thought she was a good reason to stop drinking. If more of the men in her life treated her like that, maybe she wouldn't spend so much time hiding out in her room. Well, if more of the men in her life treated her like that anywhere except her dreams, because Dean was fucking perfect in their dreams. Anna really didn't want to think about that.

And the sound of Jack's boots on the stairs was a great distraction. She was, as promised, in her pajamas and curled up in bed. She didn't even bother to get up and open the door for him, she just waved it open as soon as he got close.

Jack had never been one to beat around the bush, or hold any kind of reservations in general. If he wanted to do something, and he couldn't see any personal detriment from doing it, then he just went right ahead and did it. How she opened the door without moving from the bed was one of those things he didn't bother trying to understand. In the same way that Davey Jones was supposedly wandering around with his heart out of his chest. He saw it, so he would believe it. His own version of faith.

"'ello love," he greeted as he walked in to the room, shrugging out of his jacket as he did and tossing it over a chair that wasn't otherwise occupied. He walked over and flopped down on the mattress beside her, legs stretched out and booted feet crossed at the ankles. He'd been at the rum already today, not unusually, he figured he could go without for a while. Maybe.

Anna grinned when Jack came in. She looked up as he slipped out of his jacket, closing the door the same way she opened it. Seemed Jack was serious about not being the rum. She'd been happy about it when he'd suggested it, but honestly didn't think he'd actually follow through on it. Kind of flattered that he actually did. "Hello yourself."

Smacking at the side of his thigh, Anna kicked his feet. "Boots off. No shoes on my bed." Anna smirked, nudging her shoulder into his. "So long as your feet don't stink, anyway."

"Oi," he protested, though anyone who knew him even a little would know he wasn't all that serious. "My feet are as clean as they come." Using the toes of the opposing foot, he pushed each boot off, letting them flop to the floor beside the bed.

"So this is 'ow you spend your time, is it? No wonder you need my company."

"Now that you have access to a shower on a regular basis, they better be." Anna dropped her head against his shoulder and gave a little chuckle. He was at least right about one thing, they didn't stink. They probably were clean, which was reassuring considering he was in her sheets at the moment.

Anna turned the volume on the TV down, tossing the remote aside. "Only lately. Usually I'm busy with my son. Though I wouldn't argue with your company even when hes around."

"You're entirely to blame for that too, you realise." Showers on a regular basis. He hadn't cared before, now he really enjoyed them. Not for the being clean part, he honestly didn't care either way, but for the nice hot water part.

"How kind you are," he said with some degree of humour, not protesting her laying her head on his shoulder. "Just you wait until you've got the young fellow finding his own food, then we'll have some fun."

Anna grinned, still a bit surprised that she had so much influence on him. But glad. Not that she wanted to change him, just that she'd rather he not be a smelly pirate in her bed. There was no reason for him not to be a clean lecherous eccentric. He was more fun that way. At least in her opinion. She wouldn't be getting close to him if he wasn't clean.

"I plan on weaning him long before he can find food for himself. Just as soon as the little booger starts growing teeth." Anna figured that was long enough for him to get the benefits of breast feeding and a good time to start him on solid nutrients. She'd probably be feeding him bits and pieces of things before then, though.

"See, now I'd have predicted you liked that sort of thing," he teased good naturedly. Yes, she had him pegged. A lecherous eccentric. Now, at least the majority of the time, mostly clean.

"So, Anna. You've got a friend older than even me, brothers with wings, and your lad's father, let's be honest...he's just plain funny looking. So which is the one you're hiding from?" Jack figured it could have been something to do with those ghosts people were seeing about the place. So far, he hadn't seen a one. He was putting that down to the rum. More people ought to be drinking it really.

"Not from my kid." Anna was okay with some rough and tumble. Her kid's dad was a demon, after all. It wasn't usually gentle, although lately he'd been surprisingly catering to her needs more than focusing on his own. She wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth on that one.

Anna gave a bit of an empty chuckle. Leave it to Jack to drop things to their simplest. "Aiden's father is a demon." And definitely not anything she'd have gone for under any other circumstances. He was surely no Johnny Depp. But whatever they had worked... as far as she knew anyway. "None, actually. Well... kind of. Brother and his boyfriend mostly." Not because she wanted to, but because she knew it was the right thing to do.

"Ooh," it was a mock sound of interest. "Does he have those little horns hiding under that hair? Maybe a triton, like the god of the sea, and a pointy ended tail?" This place was weirder than home, and Jack that was saying something, given all of what he had seen in his time.

"Brother and his boyfriend...Oh, you mean the ones shacked up with the blonde. They must have some fun, 'ey? So why are you avoiding them? Been wanting to roll around in the dirt with one of them?" If he was honest, and really, that wasn't all that often, he wasn't all that interested. But this place was boring and he didn't mind Anna's company. So he'd ask.

"No horns, no tail, no pitch fork." Anna smirked, leaning into him. It was nice to be around a normal person for once. Well, normal was relative in this case, but he wasn't a demon or an angel. And he was a distraction from her personal demons, the figurative kind. She could ignore her screaming siblings when she was focused on Jack.

"You don't want to hear about it and I don't want to talk about it." Mostly because he'd hit the nail on the head. She didn't want to tell Jack about her wet dreams. She didn't want to talk about how angry she was with her little brother for blaming her. Or how guilty she felt for enjoying it.

"That's a bit boring. What's he do, just walk around looking funny?" It was interesting, for someone who purported to be so anti social, she was obviously a liker of having some kind of physical closeness with a person.

"Well," he said in that cheerful tone he could have, often in those moments when it was clear some kind of subject change was in order, "What is it that you'd like to talk about?"

"He runs Hell. Turned it into an endless queue line." It was efficient at least. And Anna was surprisingly okay with that. She knew it should bother her. She'd been watching their show, and no matter what he did there, it didn't bother her. He wasn't much different here, he just didn't have all of Hell to control. And Anna tried not to think about what he was controlling.

Which, admittedly, was probably her biggest mistake.

Anna grabbed up the remote again and flipped through the channels. "Anything but myself. How about you tell me some interesting stories. Bet you've been on some great adventures." She'd seen the movies, but there had to be something before the movies to get Captain Jack Sparrow his notoriety.

"Hell with fire and brimstone and all of that?" Jack always figured if he was to die, he'd end up in Davey Jones Locker. Eternity stuck somewhere endless and inescapable. But he knew everyone had their own ideas.

"Great adventures love? Oh, just one or two. What sort of adventure would you like to hear about?"

"Yes and no. Mostly yes until he got a hold of it. But everyone's Hell is different. Usually." Anna had seen a number of different Hells and not one of them was something she wanted to face. But for some of the bastards down there, even the really scary stuff excited them. It was really rather brilliant what Crowley had done - although she'd never tell him that.

Anna knew catering to his ego would be a good distraction for both of them. "I don't know, riches, storms, conquests... you're a pirate, one of the more famous ones, I don't have any doubt you've got a wealth of stories you could tell me."

"That makes a bit of sense doesn't it?" What was hell for one man wouldn't be all that bad for another, necessarily. In many ways this place was hell for Jack. Being kept from his ship, being kept from the sea, was a loss of freedom that he hated.

"Storms...well, seen a few of them in my day. That one we 'ad here was a bit mild for all the fuss it caused wasn't it? Nothing more than a good stiff breeze."

It made a lot of sense, but Anna wasn't the kind of girl to spend too much time thinking about other people's Hells. She had her own to be concerned with, as the ghosts of her brothers kept reminding her. When they finally got a hold of her, she'd be wishing for Crowley's queue line. And if they ever got a hold of Aiden...

Anna's nostrils flared and her eyes darted toward Raphael glowering at her from the corner, evil laughter in the eyes of all his faces.

"Storms, huh? Lose anything important to the waves and downpours?" Anna was willing to talk about anything at this point. She just needed him to drown out the sound of her brothers. She needed a distraction. Any distraction.

He noticed the look she gave the corner of the room, but didn't pass comment. That would be the lack of rum bringing her a visitor or two, no doubt. Good thing about ghosts was they couldn't hurt you. Not physically at least.

"Lost me hat once, got it back though." He touched his fingers to the side of it. "That's how I know it's lucky. Blew right back on to the deck of the ship once the storm was passing."

"Lucky hat, hmm? I could use one of those." Anna looked up at his smelly dirty but pretty damn iconic hat. She reached up and ran her fingers along it. And then let her hand drop down against his thigh. She just relaxed there, because it was easier than focusing somewhere else.

"So you almost lost your lucky hat to the storm. That's a boring story. And here I expected you to have a gift for that." She forced a teasing grin up at him, trying to nudge him into an actual story. Any sort of story. Anything, really, she just needed a distraction.

"All you've got to do is buy yourself a hat and let it go. If it loves you it'll come back," he said with a little chuckle.

"Come on now love, what's not exciting about a hat being lost in a storm then coming back again?" He gave her a look. "Alright, exciting story. Well, you know about the mutiny don't you? That was pretty exciting."

"Oh, so you're not saying the hat makes you lucky, but that the hat itself is lucky." Well that was different then. That wasn't what she was looking for. Anna wasn't something that would bring her luck. She hadn't had much of that lately. And all of it that she had been experiencing was completely focused on Aiden.

"I've seen the movies. I know about the mutiny. I know about everything after you found Will. What I don't know, is what happened after you got off the island and before you met Will. How come your ship was sinking when you first pulled up to the docks? Where'd you get that ship that sank? Tell me a story, Jack. Entertain me. I thought you were good at distractions."

"Of course I'm lucky. I'm Captain Jack Sparrow. But the lucky hat brings me extra luck." It was easy enough to be lucky. You just had to know what was going on around you, figure out what everyone else's motivations were, and believe you could do what you needed to do. Or, it was easy enough for Jack. But then he'd had practice.

"Ahhh," the sound was drawn out. "That ship. Well, I borrowed," that term was used loosely, "that fine ship from the crew who were kind enough to offer me passage to Port Royal, in exchange for a few bits and bobs I had acquired." The fact that those particular bits and bobs turned out to not be as genuine as he'd told them may have been part of the problem. "It was sinking because it was full o' holes." Obviously.

Anna had never been lucky. She was good in battle, but otherwise she really wasn't observant enough. She could read people, but she couldn't discern situations at all. It usually led to trauma and dramatics. Her life was a mess of trauma and dramatics.

"You're a terrible storyteller," Anna grinned, nudging into him. He really wasn't very good at relaying his history in an interesting way. Funny, but not very narrative. "Alright, that's it, new distraction. C'mon, let's think of something else."
