Who: Gabriel, Laura and the whole resort
What: Almost getting married!
Where: The middle of the lake
When: The 16th of June.
Rating: Lowish
Status: Incomplete.

Gabriel had never walked on water before. Some people may be surprised at that. He could have at any time but, after the Son did it, it seemed a little... disrespectful. So, on this day, he put his own spin on it. He wasn't walking on water, he was walking on another liquid. Glass. Technically he was standing in a giant shell in the glass, it's sail fanning above him. A couple of unicorns wandered around on the glass calmly, tossing their silver manes in the sun.

Rose, bright red and white, where scattered over the glass on and around the red velvet carpet that formed the aisle his Laura was to walk down. Gabriel stood tall, confident, sure. He was completely relaxed and content, knowing he was doing what was right for him and for Laura. It was a powerful piece of knowledge and he hoped she felt the same. He could have looked but he'd promised himself he'd never do that to her. Her secrets were hers to keep.

Most grooms needed support but Gabriel really just wanted people to see how happy he was, how well he'd done. Better than most of his kind. He hoped his brothers took it as an example. Daddy wasn't comin' back to set things right so you might as well grab what you can and hang on tight.

As the fighter jets steamed red vapour hearts behind them Gabriel looked down the isle, between his friends faces. He was eager to see the dress Laura had talked about so very enticingly. He was eager to see her. He glanced at Tony. "So, you think we need swans?"

It wasn't hard to pick up on the fact that Wings was about as relaxed as a guy could get. Even standing in a shell on a glass lake with...hell, there was more strange stuff around them than he could be bothered thinking about. But it made his friend happy, so Tony didn't really care if it was strange. He was content to stand beside his friend and await the arrival of X. He already knew just how beautiful she looked, and was eagerly awaiting her arrival for his friends sake. He knew Gabriel would love it.

He laughed at the question. "Where do you plan on putting them? On your head?" X would have been happy with anything, let alone all of this. But then this suited them both, especially Wings. So really..."I think we need a lot of them."

Heather felt like a fairy princess, without the wings. But as they came up to the lake, it felt oddly appropriate. Laura had wanted to be blindfolded. She wanted to be surprised the moment she stepped up to the glass lake. So it was her job, and Sirius' and Robin's, to make sure the bride didn't trip over anything on her way around the lake. And block her from Gabriel's view until the time came.

In a way it was a good thing that her dress was so big and poofy. Her hair so high with curls. Laura was a good bit taller than she was, and all the extras made it easy to hide her. Again she was going to march down the aisle, in less than two weeks, to the man of her dreams. Though this wasn't her game, this was about X. So she lined up in front of the Bride, and Robin. Behind Sirius, who was behind Cas.

She was all ready to bounce. And would have if Laura wouldn't have smacked her. She held the big pink peonies in front of her. It took all she had in her not to laugh at the young man that stood in front of her. But she did toss a grin back at Robin. "Doesn't Sirius look pretty, Robin?" She teased.

All in all, Sirius felt pink. Not just because most of the things Elena had so nicely thrown upon him were of said colour, no it was more like he had been infiltrated by that colour. His ear still tingled from Tonks’ piercing spell and it felt weird to wear a ponytail so high. Sirius wanted to rub his eyes remembering that he shouldn’t. Obviously girls were merciless when you gave them the opportunity to live out their creativity. If Laura and Gabriel hadn’t been such a unique couple, he was sure no one would have been able to put flowers into his hair without him attempting to kill said person at least once.

For the second time within a month Sirius stood with the bride and waited for the wedding to begin. He had to admit that he was getting quite good at this. Grinning, Sirius turned his head to Heather. “No need to be jealous. You look nearly as pretty as I am.” He winked at her.

Robin laughed, returning Heather's grin, and offering Sirius an amused smirk. "Oh yes. Very much so." He was quite able to tease, wearing his far more sedate tuxedo. He'd gotten a lot of use out of this thing, since he and Marian had been married.

Once they were ready to walk down the aisle, he took Laura's hand, whilst she was still blindfolded, and guided it so that she could hook her arm around his when he offered his elbow. "All ready, Laura?"

Castiel clutched the cushion in his hands tightly. He wasn't entirely comfortable being the centre of attention in this way but he figured he better get used to it. He knew his cue would be music so he stood, a little tense, a lot pleased for his smiling brother and his remarkable bride. Cas was happy for them both, knowing exactly what those feeling could do, the power they had for good.

Gabriel moved his finger and music started to play, seeming to come from nowhere. It wasn't something Cas had heard before but it seemed strangely fitting.

Give it to Gabriel to pick something quite nontraditional for the wedding march. She'd heard the song at least once before. A slow smile crawled into place. "I am ready" It was hard not to gather the leather skirt of her dress, but with her hand at Robin's elbow Laura was unable to do so and hold her flowers at the same time.

The blindfold was tied loosely, so not to crinkle the veil, muss the loose curls beneath it, shift the tiara, nor smudge her makeup once it was removed. "Once we are at the glass, will you untie the blindfold?" The request was faint. Only loud enough for Robin to hear.

Laura was nervous, and that wasn't a emotion that she could say that she felt very often. What if she forgot the words she'd worked on? Slipped up on the poem that had been so very perfect? Her fingers tightened around Robin's arm when the heal of her boot caught on something unidentifiable.

“You’re right. Lots,” Gabriel said to Tony and he lifted his fingers to click them into being. Only then he saw Laura.

Gabriel never made a deal about the dress. He understood it meant something to her and so he respected it but it never meant a great deal to him. What she wore. What anyone at the wedding wore (even it Cas looked oddly adorable in a tux and Heather looked a little like a bride herself). Laura was beautiful. Laura in a tank top and a pair of shorts was beautiful. Laura in a nightie was beautiful. Laura in paint-spattered overalls was beautiful so why should he get excited about a dress?

He still wasn’t excited about a dress. But. What he saw was someone who cared so much about that short walk she had found the most perfect sculptured thing she could find, had spend hours fixing her hair and her face and had even found the sexiest boots Gabriel had ever seen (which he hoped to see her in later. Just the boots…).

Gabriel did what grooms have done for millennia. Just like any man he stared in wonder. “Pinch me,” he whispered to Tony, eyes still on Laura. “She can’t be. She can’t be mine.”

Robin's other hand rose to steady Laura when she faltered, and he stopped them again once they reached the glass, he leaned closer to speak by her ear as his hand rose to undo the blindfold.

"Don't be nervous. You look beautiful, Laura." Slowly, he pulled the blindfold away from her face so that they could walk down the aisle. He thought that look on Gabriel's face was probably close to what his had been when he'd first seen Marian on their day.

Rather than pinch him, Tony put a hand on Gabriel's shoulder for a moment as he spoke to him. "She's all yours alright. Lucky bastard," he joked.

And he had to admit, she looked beautiful. Wearing something not many people could get away with and still manage to look so good. And whilst his eyes moved first to her, being the bride and all, his attention was pulled to Heather. His wife, his mind giddily reminded him, making him grin. Damn, he had a wife. And she was a stunner.

Eventually, he pulled his eyes back to Gabriel. "You can thank me for the boots later," he said with a grin. He'd gotten his choice right for those, he could tell.

It took all she had in her not to squeal at the march choice. So instead, as she strolled down the aisle singing to the song. It was hard not to do the cat call whistle once she got to her destination. Be it at Gabriel, Tony, or Laura would be hard to say. But she didn't. She simply held onto her bushel of flowers. Grinning across the carpet at Tony and Gabriel, before offering Cas a wink. He truly looked adorable in a tux!

After a moment her eyes moved back to Robin, and Laura. She was beautiful. And the leather skirt and boots totally suited her. Where she, herself, matched the theme of the wedding, Laura stood out. Her dress matched her personality. She'd done just what Laura was doing, eleven days ago, to the man right across from her. She couldn't help the almost silent glee filled squee.

Her breath caught, once Robin removed the blindfold. Gabriel had been right, she couldn't have imagined this. It was... Out of a fairy tail. Now she was quite glad that she had chosen the dress for Heather that she had, now she only regretted not getting fairy wings for the dress. "It's amazing. Is it not?" She questioned the man beside her.

Her footing was more sure, as she stepped onto the carpeted glass. Yet she could not take everything in. Because as soon as her eyes caught with Gabriel's she hadn't the want to look else where. Her fingers squeezed on Robin's arm. She whispered softly to, "It makes me wish that this were the real thing. Foolish, no?"
