Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester and Castiel (and Icarus)
What: Sam wakes
Where: The extra room at the boys’ and Jo’s place.
When: Wednesday evening
Warnings: Will update

Castiel sat on one of the high-backed chairs that flanked Sam’s bed. He was giving Dean a little space at the moment. He made sure he was there, always there if Dean wanted contact but he made no move to press it on him when he didn’t unless it was clear Dean could use a touch of the hand on a kiss to the forehead.

Icarus was curled by Sam’s knee in a tight little ball. He had been by Sam the whole time Cas has been there. Cas thought it was just more proof there was something special about the cat and he hoped Sam would get some comfort from him as he’s comforted Cas.

The former angel watched Dean with a worried look on his face. Truth be told he was as tired as his sleeping cat but he didn’t want to leave Dean alone and Jo had spent so much time watching over Sam she needed a rest even more than he did.

Sam lay still, breathing. Cas couldn't keep his eyes from the young man's chest, making sure it wasn't still for too long. Every now and then he spoke, chatted to Sam a little, tried to assure him he wasn't alone, that it was safe to be where he was. He didn't know if Sam could hear him but he couldn't stay silent and let Sam believe he was alone.
