who: anna & crowley when: just after she talks to cas where: crowley's room what: an angel going to a demon for comfort rating: probably high
By the time Anna appeared in Crowley's room, she was shaking from head to toe. She hadn't been gone long, half an hour at the most, but it was the most emotional half an hour of her entire existence. She stood, for a moment or two, next to Crowley's bed where he was sitting watching TV or reading or... whatever... she couldn't tell right now. She couldn't think right now. She stood there, hands clenched at her sides, jaw stiff and set, and it felt like the world had stopped spinning.
She stood there until she couldn't stand anymore. Then she stumbled forward, crawling into his bed. Anna didn't care right now that he was a demon. She didn't care that she knew that his attention on her was only so that he could hurt her later, use her, tempt her manipulate her. She cared that being with him didn't hurt. That she could curl up against him, drop her head on his lap, and just exist without feeling like her every breath was wrong. Anna had Fallen, she'd done far worse than crawl in bed with a demon. And now it seemed like crawling in bed with a demon was the only thing she could do right.
"I know it's in your nature to be an ass, but just for tonight, can you pretend that it's not?" Her voice cracked. She knew how she looked, it was probably exactly the way she felt. And if he wanted to really hurt her right now, it would be easy. But maybe whatever plans he had for her down the line would be enough that he could pretend that he actually cared that she was broken, just for tonight.
