Yes! There's the lake again! Ohh, never thought I would be so happy to see water once again. And nice, soft green grass under my feet. I think I'll go for a swim soon before work.

I actually miss seeing the guests around now. Couple of them liked me, I can tell I was also planning to go swim in the lake, but.. then quick reality, we don't have one now. No water out there. And without water, and guests (though I'd settle for doing my job watching employees swim without drowning), can't really do my job.

Not even a good setting for a nice picnic for couples either. With green grass, trees, a cool lake.. not exactly romantic if all that is ruined into what it is now. Ah well, least I got booze in my cabin. Rather not think of how it all looks so dead, my magic can't even fix it I think I'm gonna stay inside. Lots of vines and thorns, might want to be careful around that.

..Huh. Okay, this is weird. The chairs stopped moving at the pool. And the stuff in my cabin was moving, but now they aren't. That was sort of interesting. Had fun talks with them. I was sorta hoping this meant Belle was going to show up. You know, from Beauty and the Beast? Complete hottie. Yeah, she's a toon, but still fine.

Of course I mean the Disney cartoon, not the 80s series with Linda Hamilton. Though she looked good too, I admit. But Belle? She was cool. Oh yeah. And you know.. I'd totally have tapped that. Yes, she's a toon, but still. Hotness! But then if Gaston came with her, I'd be kicking his ignorant stupid ass all over the place. That guy's a certifiable jerk. Kept hoping that Beast guy would eat him at some point, but no such luck So, any pretty ladies want to go out for a drink sometime? Or we could go for a swim.

I want to know what it is about everyone hitting on married men. What is the allure? Is it because they are unatainable? Maybe because it seems safe? Maybe they just don't care. Whatever the reason, my butt hurts from all the grabbing and pinching! Seriously, girls and boys, STOP. I'm married, have children and it's kind of creepy, which is saying something if I'm saying it's creepy.

Well, goddamn! Those lounge chairs aren't supposed to move. I mean, really! A guy likes to sit down for a little while. Especially after taking a nice swim in the pool for an hour. And it's not like any of the guests are around for me to watch, just a couple. Three at the most. It's not busy right now, see. But what about later? There will be some more. And they will want to sit down. Not that I care much. But doing a good job means good pay.

Aw hell, maybe I'll take a break early and get a drink with some ladies or something. I don't even want to go up in that lifeguard stand. Don't want to risk it suddenly being alive and moving with me in it, and accidentally falling out. So yeah, I guess I'll be standing the rest of the day. Or swimming. I'm at least good at that much.

Okay so I got bored. Yeah I know what you're saying you're one of those people. Yeah I kinda am. These things were hugely popular when I internet... and electricity... were at my fingertips back home.

Dammit. So.. wishes are wearing off now? That really sucks, for real. I loved using my magic! All the time. But as I said, using too much causes our kind to age up before our time. Just out of interest, how many people have gotten something they really wanted lately, almost as though it were a dream come true? I'd be really interested to hear about it all...

I'm really confused. I remember walking into Hogwart's to start my sixth year with my friends and now I'm all of a sudden here. I didn't ask or sign up for this, I just hope I know a few people here. I also have to work for a muggle as well.. this is great.. just great.. I really hope that this is a dream and I'll wake up in my dormitory getting ready for class.

Hmm.. the strangest thing. I used today. Umm, for those who don't know about my kind of magic. If we use too much after we pass 18, we get older. Like.. a lot older. Geriatric sort of old. Ass in a chair, needing a walker, hooked to oxygen tank, not going anywhere fast anytime soon kind of old. But it's weird! I used a little bit. Maybe two or three times.

Aw hell, okay so it was ten. A big risk. But know what? I'm still me. I am still the hot, talented, magical, good-looking lifeguard Reid Garwin. Haven't aged a bit. Oh well, maybe it's from being here for a while. You know.. this resort, maybe the magic of this place finally got to me. Or maybe because this isn't my world, that annoying rule finally wore off and I don't need to worry anymore about it. I think this calls for a celebration. I'm going to the club after work.

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope this one is better than last but with less danger. Let's see.. resolutions? I promise not to "use" unless it's for an emergency. By that, I mean my magic. My kind ages faster if we practice it too much.

I wish there was a way to change that. But until then, I'd do it only if I really need to. And another thing for me, I could try to improve on my swimming technique. Get better at it. I'm good at it now and at other stuff, but there's always time to improve and get better than before. Plus, I like swimming anyway and it'll make me a better lifeguard too.
