I kept seeing Shadow of the colossus in game magazines and it even had a super cool commercial, so I just had to get it. People compare it to the Zelda series, but this game is different. I love this game. I play it even after I beat it a billon times.
The good: Oh my goodness, there isn't much music, but it's such an experience when there is music, like fighting the colossi. It sends you into a different mood and plunges you into the world. There is an extensive world, with animals everywhere and different ecosystems. The colossi are all different and it's challenging to defeat each one. Your horse Agro is the best, he helps you, comes at your beck and call and saves your life more than once. It's an action/strategy like you've never played.
The bad: It's frustrating sometimes, heartwrenching, and annoying. It's hard to find the colossi, and even beat them sometimes. Agro is hard to controll, but that is good and bad. If you like music, or something other than fighting bosses, it isn't for you.
Overall: Such a good game that you play it again and again if you've the patience. It's rare to find, I got my copy for $20 but it's much more online, since it's hard to find. It's out of print.
