Mathew looked down over his glasses at the boy who had been brought before him. He didn’t need the glasses, but it was handy to have people think he had such a weakness. He glanced back down at the dossier he was given. This boy had been a slave for quite some time, which was good. They were much less likely to be a problem. "So, you’ve been sold to Babylon. How are your sea legs?"
Chance followed the guards as they lead him to an office. Once inside he kneels at the doorway keeping his eyes lowered as the Master spoke to him. "I am getting used to the ship Master. It doesnt bother me much."
"Good. You’ll be cleaning the deck, and if you were throwing up on it while you cleaned it would be a lot harder." He says, setting the bio down. "It’s different than serving one master. You’ll have four hours to do your chores, at any time you may be booked by a master. Do what he or she says, stay out of trouble and you won’t need to see me again.
Chance nodded still not looking up at him as he listens to him. " Yes Master. I will do as ordered and stay out of trouble. How long are we to be at sea?"
Mathew looked at him, taking out a collar. "You? Forever." he tells him, standing and going over to him. "Head up." he orderd, then snaped the collar around him, locking it in the back. "You're room number's 114. Remember that." he tells him. The last thing he wants to be doing is escorting lost slave boys to their rooms.
Chance lifts his head confused by the Master's words. Forever? How does one stay on a ship forever? He let the confusion remain on his face as the collar is locked around his throat. "Yes Master, room 114." He couldn't help but looking at Mathew and liking what he saw. He wondered if the Master would ever book him.
"Alright then." he said stepping back. He turned to the guards who were still waiting. "Take him to the doc. He'll need a physical and the chip." he tells them.
Chance lowered his head as before turning and following the guards who where waiting for him. He didn't know what this chip was or why he needed a physical but he would do as he was told. He just wondered what kind of place he had been sold too. He guessed only time would tell him on that.
