Re: Evans & Peel: Jack/Patrick/maybe Newt later.
Patrick did not mind the changing landscape. Maybe if the Capital came close enough then Repose's weird would be required to chill somewhat. Patrick appreciated the weird (he kind of had to, man, with the ears and all), but the weird was beginning to get too dangerous for even his comfort. He had convinced the other Rangers to avoid the part of the woods with the sick tree, but the dude did not know how long this could persist.
But, tonight, man, tonight the dude wanted a drink. He was in a good mood. Casual, comfortable in a most social setting. He shook Jack's hand firmly, with that Gunster grin winning and in place. He ducked his head slightly, so it was easier to hear, and then he laughed at Jack's joking as he let go the dude's hand. "I will not turn down a drink," he said, looking around and lifting a hand to wave at a handful of people. The current adult population of this town, the old timers, had been around all of Patrick's life, and he was social with them all. "I am more of a skater, man, I admit this. But tonight, I can handle a good drink and a good environment to drink it in." He clapped Jack on the shoulder comfortably. "How have you been, dude? Did you get caught up in the joy of postcards?"
