Re: Evans & Peel: Jack/Patrick/maybe Newt later.
Repose's landscape had changed in a great many ways since Patrick's childhood. When the dude was a kid, the place had been a typical, if weird, small town. But the Capital had grown huge in subsequent years, and it did not seem so weird to have things like skating rings and bars popping up where old feed stores and mercantiles had once been. Still, this was going to be thematically different, man, and Patrick wondered if the Capital was reaching its long fingers into the tiny town of his childhood.
He had just gotten off work, and he stopped by in denim and ranger browns. He wore a white tee beneath his tan, and he had heavy work boots on. He had not spent the day on the new trails, so he was not particularly filthy. The summer was coming to a close, and the dude was spending his days doing a thorough comb of all the camping areas used during the season. He'd washed up at the station, and he'd grabbed a clean shirt, and now he was here. It was Newt's bro's grand opening, and Patrick thought he should be supportive. The place was not what he expected from Repose, and it was not even the dude's particular style, but it was sleek and interesting, and Patrick approached Jack (once he spotted him). "Nice, my man," he said, and then he held out a hand to shake in bro-ly greeting. "I came to see what you had wrought. That's quite the combination. Skating and booze." Honestly, the skating part was more to Patrick's taste, but he could see where Newt's bro would feel comfortable down here.
