Re: log: cat, matt, emily
[Cat sipped her coffee, and she didn't interrupt. She knew burns where nothing hurt? Were bad news, but she knew she didn't need to say that. She watched with a mossy gaze that was desensitized, like pain and injury were very old bedfellows, and she sipped. She wondered, through all this, where Eddie was, where Emily's charming brother was. She thought about men, about partners, about a month trapped in a house, blistering, and not leaving. She thought too much, and it made her antsy.
And as much as she was done with jewelry heists and rooftops? She craved one just then. It always happened this way, didn't it? Her eventually getting antsy. Well, maybe it was time for something carefree after this. Something for her.
She considered it.
Matt mentioned a hospital, and Cat looked up from her coffee. Em wouldn't go, and she knew Em wouldn't go. She shook her head a little, nearly imperceptible. Em wouldn't be going to a hospital.] Just do what you can here. It'll have to do for now.
