Re: log: dietre a. & misha b.
Misha didn't understand parents or siblings real well, and that was something he'd recognized recent. He'd thought family was meant to always stick near. His momma hadn't done that, but he'd always understood she was real sad and it wasn't her fault what she'd done to herself. In moments when his Grace was lacking, he'd blamed her, but he didn't now. And his daddy, though he was long dead and had done things folks reckoned as awful, he hadn't never abandoned him. Misha reckoned good family, real family, was even better 'bout staying together, or he had reckoned that.
He watched Dietre with the dog, and it made think on how Damian behaved with Titus. He wished he was soothed by pets himself, but that wasn't so any.
"Fresh starts are real good. When I left the Quiet Home, I went and bought all new things. They were used, but they were new to me, and it helped me feel better some," he said truthfully, sharing something he reckoned might help. He was glad things were going good for Dietre and Adrian, and he reminded himself to check on the other boy real soon.
Misha cocked his head and regarded the other boy. "Why's it worrisome wanting to be friends with him?" he asked. He was honestly curious, and he didn't understand where Dietre was going 'til Dietre finished his thought. "You can get to know someone 'fore becoming involved or falling for them," he promised. He knew Dietre wasn't real in the habit of doing that, but Misha didn't reckon Oliver was in any rush to get himself anyplace serious, which might help some. "Just keep on talking to him, honey. Asking things and getting to know him, and let it goes where it goes," he suggested. He reckoned that Dietre wouldn't scare Oliver, so there was that they had going for them at least.
