It had warmed up quite a bit the past few days, and while the mornings were still plenty cool for a run, Ben preferred to go running in the evening when the sun was just about to set. This probably seemed unusual to the casual observer of general Ben Bailey behavior, considering he tended to give the impression that he radiated sunshine (sort of true in a way, but still), but he tended to prefer the quiet and solitude that came with the twilight. Coming from a big family meant you had to grab some alone time wherever you could get it, so he also tended to choose routes that were a bit off the beaten path, so the cemetery--not typically frequented by people taking a nightly jog--was the obvious choice.
He wasn't quite to the cemetery before he noticed he wasn't alone. He'd been on this route often enough to find it odd when someone was hanging around the cemetery--it was really quite empty most of the time--but even more odd when someone was (he supposed dancing was as good a word as any) dancing along the stone wall. And singing. Maybe? Anyway, whatever was going on, it was weird enough to warrant a stop. He slowed down to a walk as he approached and pulled out one of his earbuds. "Are you singing them to sleep or trying to wake them?" Ben asked, cocking his head to the side in a very dog-like manner. Because why else would anyone put on a song and dance show in a graveyard for?
