Re: Post party
The growls (so familiar) from the body behind her made her smile even though her eyes remained closed, her cheek rounding against the firm pillow of his arm. She knew the feeling of wanting the sun to go away again, but she was amused to hear how grumpy it had made him. She lifted her arm just enough to rub her hand over his forearm a few times and then curl it over the one of his that rested on her stomach.
The sharp ache of her back had faded, but there was a tension along the muscles there that threatened a possible return of the discomfort. Maybe if she just held still, she could ignore it for a while longer. The both of them could pretend to still be asleep so that the didn't have to move quite yet.
The grumble of his voice turned her next exhale into a laugh. "Me? Or the baby?"
