Re: [eddie/steph/cat steal a heart]
Stephanie also had an itch. She wanted a distraction, too. This town was too damn quiet at times, and some nights, while she laid in bed and remembered home, she found it almost suffocating. She'd already told Damian she wanted to work out in the Capital with the boys, and she began searching for other ways to fill her time besides just working at the art store. Oh yes, she loved small town life because most of her people were here and the quaintness was a good change of pace. But, life was slow, and Steph was used to fast and furious. Hard and unforgiving. A town where weird shit happened, but she didn't need to patrol every day to keep crime at bay? Well, that was bizarre and unnerving sometimes. And she wasn't sure she could stay away from it forever.
After making sure to have someone watch Flounder and Bandit (in case, you know, she like died in the virtual world), and after she prepped everything she needed, she headed off to the Loot Arcade. This was a fix, and all three of them knew this. And good doing? Oh she was all about it. She reveled in it. And, as she was driving over, she realized that it'd been a long, long time since the three of them had done something like this together -- probably before she and Eddie were married. Definitely before things fell apart for the three of them.
The blonde strolled into the arcade dressed in black and white, her hair tied away from her face. A black satchel had the few pieces of gear she'd brought back form Jersey as well as numerous first aid supplies -- sutures, gauze, iodine. Stephanie wasn't sure what to expect in this virtual world -- what it would be like, if they would get hurt, what might happen -- but she trusted Eddie and Cat with her life.
She also had phone in hand with that app installed, and when she came up behind them, she smiled easily. "Don't let him trick you into playing one of these games. I swear they're rigged so I can't ever win." She plopped that bag on the floor and stepped forward to hug Cat when Eddie pulled the younger girl to her feet. Oh, yeah, she was still a hugger. When she stepped out of that, she turned to Eddie and smiled softly, running her hand down his arm.
