Re: quicklog: abe/sasha apple cart
[His laugh made her smile grow even wider.] Mmhmm. I like to be very, very thorough. [Oh, she'd never let him be taken by some super spies, and if he was, she'd stop at nothing to break him out of whatever cell they'd keep him in. After all, she was pretty good at breaking people out of secured facilities, and maybe she was a little too attached to him by now. It was a bad habit that he should really be warned about.
Oh jeez, could you imagine Vice coming here? They'd never be taken seriously again. [Back to the subject at hand.] That's really interesting, though. [She'd never thought of it that way, because she never had to deal with that kind of issue and wondered briefly how often Abe felt like that. You know, without the whole angry wet dog aspect.] Do you think it makes them feel better having others like them around? Maybe you don't need it, but do you want it? That kind of community?
[Sasha pushed the menu aside that had been given when they sat down. She already knew exactly what she wanted. Instead her attention was purely given to Abe, elbows propped on the table, her chin cradled in her hands, and the book she'd brought in put down on the booth beside her. She'd get to that later. Right now she was happy enough to watch Abe enjoy the view of the trees. The way his eyes crinkled at the corners behind his glasses. The way his jaw relaxed with that small smile. The subtle rise of his eyebrows when he was interested in the scene. Or maybe that was all because of the question he was about to ask her.
Sasha lit up like the Fourth of July.] I'd love to. [The answer was given with just as much depth as his question, and she didn't even attempt to hide that she had been watching him. What she did add was levity in her next question to keep things light instead of making it sound like she'd practically agreed to commit the next few months of her life to him. Not that it was a bad thing.] Do you think they're going to make James fall in love with every woman he sees again?
[The waitress came back over for their drink order, but Sasha was ready for food.] Chocolate milk. Chocolate chip pancakes, extra butter, extra whipped cream. Aaand four pieces of bacon. [A nod, then she motioned to Abe with a grin, brushing her foot against his under the table.]
