Holly + MJ: moving into Clary House
[MJ wasn't totally ready to let her apartment go. She'd lived there for a while now, and it was the first place that was really hers. She totally couldn't have foreseen the thing with Flash, obviously, because she remembered thinking it was a good idea. Now, in retrospect, it was stupid. But, without him there, and with Gwendy still doing Gwendy things far, far away, she didn't want to stay.—The house was nice. It was like, way nicer than the place she grew up in, which was a dumpster with shitty siding, and it was sort of nice to be in a home, you know?
She was thinking about this only idly as she painted her nails. She'd spent the last few hours pushing things around in the small (though not insignificant) space of her new room, and, yeah, she had like, three huge things of clothes to unpack—at least the closet was big—but she told herself it could wait. Her nailpolish had almost chipped away in the last few weeks, so she found her gold and she was busy applying her second coat. It was simple, but it glittered, and, honestly, right now, she wasn't picky. She just thought it was pretty. Her skirt was rucked up over one winter-paled thigh, and she was bent over her right hand, trying hard to keep her left steady, when the voice called out from downstairs. Female. Not Destiny. Not Cat. Not Gwendy. So, Holly.
Because she was super helpful and friendly, MJ screwed the cap back on her polish and came down the stairs drying her nails in the draft of her walk. The girl, just this side of the front door, was younger than she was, white because everyone here was, with dark hair, and a super bright shirt. If MJ noted the single bag, she didn't say anything for the moment. She smiled as she hopped down the last steps barefoot.] Hey, I'm MJ. [She wiggled her fingers in a wave/display that she couldn't really shake hands/was that weird?] I just moved in too. I don't think anyone else is here right now, except the pig and stuff, but I can show you your room. It'll help me with the layout too.
