Re: [misha & jude: the capital]
[Misha, he didn't feel gulfs, not how Jude did. He'd never been close to Jude, and so this was real new for Misha. And, despite what folks thought, he'd never been close to Oliver. Oliver, he hadn't never let Misha in, and they were talking more honest now than they ever had the half-year they spent together. When he'd been with Oliver, it had been something make-believe. Like he'd told Oliver, he'd always known Oliver hadn't never wanted him how he was. He'd given Oliver what he wanted and needed, but that wasn't the same as his relationship with Damian. And, well, Oliver hadn't never given him much of anything but some stolen kisses and chiding not to act real crazy 'round Jude. For Misha, there wasn't a whole lot lost, and there were only things gained. This was new, but it wasn't bad, not for Misha, and it didn't come with the kind of memories it brung for Jude.]
I play all kinds of things. I can just feel the notes. I like composing on piano, but I'd much rather play a string if I have my druthers. We can go to the piano bar now. [He turned in that direction, and it wasn't a real far walk from where they were at. In Kentucky, walking wasn't something folks did. Nothing was close enough for it, and cars were real necessary, even if most were real clunkers. The Capital was like New York, where driving was a nuisance and walking was best. Misha crossed the street, careful of traffic, and took toward the area just past Downtown, where the bar was.]
You didn't say how you been. [Misha pointed that out while fishing a dollar from his pocket for a busker with a wide brim hat sitting at his feet, a guitar in his hands and a song 'bout yearning on his tongue. He watched a spell, and then he took to walking again.] Getting away has been real good for me. It was just a whole lot at that moment, coming to realizations 'bout my missing time and facing things I wasn't keen to face. But, I been better recent. You, go on now. It'll help me feel less awful 'bout not letting you speak plain when you needed to.
