The Woods: Liam & Patrick
Who: Liam & Patrick
What: A run-in
Where: The woods
When: Following this
Warnings/Rating: Mentions of drug use.
Ever since Vegas, life had been an exercise in running and forgetting, and Liam believe he had gotten very good at both of those things. Maybe time did make old wounds hurt less, but the conversation with Marta had proved that point quite wrong. It had all come back, fast and hard, heart-ache and a tight chest and the itch under his skin the begged to be relieved. He tried to ignore it, oh he had tried, but this was an itch he had to scratch.
Luckily, every town has its dirty, shadowy holes to find what he needed. By the time he was walking in the woods, his wallet was lighter but his veins were full and hot and his mind was at peace and the ghosts that haunted him were still and quiet and things were good. He didn't care about seven, or eight, or nine, and the crunch of leaf litter and the shadows cast by the branches of the trees were beautiful in a way he didn't really have the words to describe.
