Briar and OPEN; (Good) Diner
Who: Briar McKenna and OPEN to people who work at the diner, other patrons, nosy people, etc.
What: Sitting down for lunch. Also I am basing this off of the diners I have been to, if it has already been established that it is different feel free to throw things at me. I shall edit.
Where: (Good) Diner
When: 12/26 Lunchtime
Warnings/Rating: TBA.
In an effort to make herself somewhat presentable to the world at large, or at least in a way the cleaner part of town was used to, Briar had thrown a clean sweater over her coveralls before leaving the shop for lunch. Granted, the bottoms still showed grease and other sorts of stains, and her boots that were a little over a decade old had scuffs and stains from laying her bike down once (or twice). Still, at least her limbs that would be touching the table, and her back that would be touching the back of the booth was clean.
Hell she had even washed her face on her way out. Overachieving really.
It wasn't the most she could have done but it was more than she was required to do, which was the area she often walked when it came to her appearance truth to tell. The diner was Seat Yourself type, a policy that suited her just fine so she could leisurely slide into a booth by the back wall, stretching her arms over the back of the booth to take up as much space as she could.
There were other people in the diner who were obviously on their lunch breaks, grumpy and tired because their holiday and the weekend was over. But for Briar, who enjoyed both of her jobs and didn't have much in the way of family to spend a holiday with, Monday had been welcome and her mood was positive. In fact, she had been awake as Sunday crept into Monday, working on her side profession before shuffling downstairs to start on her other one.
