Re: RyCorp: Checking on Harry
Gwen was totally expecting Perry to just show up at the vent again. It was maybe her acquired memories, or maybe it was just her interpretation of his feelings about her assistance. She was sitting on the bed when she heard his voice, and she was surprised enough that she didn't immediately respond. A few seconds passed, and the sound of movement was the only thing audible through their Bluetooth connection. The sound was joined by the tap of her fingers on keys (and the swipe of her fingers on a screen). Finally, after ascertaining the current security conditions within the League and RyCorp levels, she made an educated decision (with limited data, which she really didn't like doing).
"I don't see any security alerts at present. Patrols seem totally normal for this time of night, and Jason hasn't mentioned anything worrisome. Can you scan him from your location within the vent? If you can, then do that, and we can decide based on the readings. If he's too far into the room to scan, and if you don't see anything worrisome within his room, then climb out of the vent and scan him. Um... I guess it's okay to wake him if you go into the room. If he's heavily medicated, he might not wake up, and that's totally not a bad thing. Medically induced comas are super good for healing. But, um..., you totally already knew that."
She moved again. "I'm going to muss the bed up in here, so we have a good cover if something happens and you need to get back here super quick, okay?"
