Re: Trailer Park: Brett & Sasha
Of course she meant work. Maybe she was a little friendlier than he was, but a few minute conversation didn't make them best bros. But Mr. Broody-pants did remind her of home, which was why she hadn't jumped in her car and driven away just yet."Don't say that out loud. You may jinx yourself." This time when her eyebrows raised it was very know-it-all, and she smirked, "There are people around here that will take it upon themselves to force you into conversations." A nod and if she were in a better mood, she may have even winked to let him know she recognized the hypocrisy of her statement. As it was, she shrugged and crossed her arms over her chest, shifting weight on her feet to recross them staying leaned up against her car.
"I don't pay for my entertainment." That statement worked on way too many levels. Sasha wasn't much for that sort of 'entertainment' in the first place. It often lead to attachment on her end, and attachments were messy. On the other hand? She was a thief. A con-woman. A grifter. She didn't pay for much of anything. Was she still a thief if she hadn't stolen anything in months? If she had simply been a legitimate waitress? Whatever she was, it was becoming boring. "Sounds like a riveting night life. Good to know, though, that work is as good as it gets." A thoughtful pause before she added, "For a shitty one horse town? It doesn't seem too bad. Even with the break-in. I've never been in a place that had a Main Street as their main street. Is it always so quiet at night?"
