Re: Trailer Park: Brett & Sasha
"No one tries to get hold of me," Brett said, and whilst his defences dropped slightly when the onslaught didn't come, he was still far from friendly in his demeanour. He was regretting this conversation if he thought that this woman had deluded herself into being his friend. Still, he didn't say any of that, hoping she simply meant that her sister might have work for him.
He knew he had to stay at least in the vague region of polite when there was money on the horizon.
Still, he glowered at her when she questioned his choice to remain in Repose, but he bit back the worst of his comments. "There's nothing to do around here. It's a shitty one horse town. Your sister's bar is probably the highlight, less you're looking to head out to the caravan wheel at the edge of town for some paid entertainment." But it was all he knew and he'd loved it, once. Clearly that was harder to let go than he was willing to admit to himself. Instead blaming the rest of the world.
