Re: quicklog: archie/cat break ins
In the right hands, yes. In the wrong ones, it's completely worthless. [Archie's mouth twitched a frown and his eyes wandered like he was walking himself through an old memory. He refocused, touching his glasses as a habitual way to tell the other human that he was listening and not day dreaming.] Many accept brain damage as an acceptable side effect to their profession of choice. Football players willingly give themselves concussions because the profit outweighs the cost. Until they blow their brains out or kill their family, of course. [That last part was said small and fast, a disclaimer at the end of a commercial.] I'm a scientist, though, so brain damage isn't ideal even if it is becoming slightly manageable. [Archie exhausted himself by talking so much, shaking his head and turning around in a circle as he was trying to remember what he was doing before.]
What was I going to show- oh right yes I was going to find you the locket. The energy it possess is small enough that it won't harm you. Much. Probably. [His eyes went wide and he clapped his hands together before returning to his search.]
You're being evasive. [He commented after a second.] You didn't come here to steal anything, you want information. [Archie found where he put the locket, pulling out a beautiful, wooden box with the cross and flowers carved into dark wood. Archie held it with both hands and then slowly brought it close to his chest.] Shame is something that runs deep in my family and yet it seems to have skipped my generation. Are you here to tell me to repent? I don't think a catsuit is the best way to convince me you're part of the higher power task force.
