Someone just dropped off a whole load of Dickens. Anyone looking for a Christmas gift, we've got just about every Dickens there is, sometimes double over. (Why do you have two, sometimes three, copies of the same book, mysterious donor?)

Tour: Clementine & Rory

Who: Clementine & Rory
What: Churches & Cemeteries
Where: Starting at the hospital
When: Midnight
Warnings/Rating: TBD

Clementine, she was bored as summer days was long. Wasn't that she was a city girl, because she wasn't any. The tiny town she'd grown in, it wasn't any bigger than this place. The country house in England, the one her daddy took her hunting at every summer, it wasn't real busy, even sprawling some like it was. She was used to small, but her momma and daddy both liked entertaining, and there was always someone 'round the house, spitting stories on lips that wouldn't quit. That was what Clementine missed. She missed a society of folks, and she missed sitting in the center of a room, her being adored in something real frilly.

This outing, it wasn't a thing like those drawing rooms with tea and conversation, but it was something to do. Something that wasn't an eerie quiet hospital, and something that wasn't sleeping. These days, Clementine hated sleeping. She'd taken to sleepwalking, and she found herself clear across town, near to that cemetery, every damn morning.

Tonight, she was standing outside that useless hospital. Her shift wasn't due to start for four whole hours, and she was itching for some fun. Might be she was getting too old for the kind of wild she felt in her bones, but wasn't a thing for it. Couldn't go teaching this old dog new tricks, and so she waited there, designer denim and cashmere cream under a coat that real foxes died to make pretty white.

Who: Adam and Hunter
What: laundry tips and tricks
Where: the laundromat
When: late afternoon

Adam was back to putting his clothes in the dryer, washing them despite the fact that they might not need it. It was warmer by the dryer than his trailer though. And it wasn't far from thr Rec Center where Kyle worked. He shut the dryer and dropped in the coins, then leaned back, watching the collection of plaid swirl like some sort of acid trip. Actually that was what his last acid trip had been like. He opted to avoid it after that. Jeff had laughed that he was a baby for not being able to handle "the colors", but Adam had taken the abuse to avoid a repeat of begging Jeff to make it stop. That had been more embarrassing that being teased. And at least when he was being teased someone had been paying attention to him. He was still mad at his best friend for trying to pin rape, kidnapping, and murder charges on him, but his life had been significantly lonelier with Jeff in jail and Kyle here.

He pushed up to sit on the counter, humming to himself, some song he'd heard on the radio during the drive over. He never picked a station, not sure what kind of music he liked, just surfed until he heard something familiar. Even now, he wasn't sure what it was, just some song, but it distracted his thoughts.
