Dante "Inferno" Zaragoza - Death'll find you... (xolotl) wrote in repose,
[Arriving Home]
[She'd done the drive back to Repose from Georgia in one straight shot, only stopping for the bathroom or food and even leaving those things to the last absolute minute possible as to not disrupt making as much progress as possible. She'd easily driven around 100MPH the whole way shaving multiple hours off the trip's time as she listened for scanners and radars and blocked what she'd needed to with her mind on the way back.
It's pitch black when Dart's lights shine on the front of the house in Repose and it's easy to spot Leena on the porch. Had she expected the other woman to be there? No... But she'd hoped. Which was a dangerous feeling all its own. The text had been hard to send - her spoons were gone before it was sent - but seeing Leena there? Seeing the blonde on the porch, eagerly awaiting her?
Oh.
That... That was... That was worth pushing through the lack of bandwidth to send the message. For sure.
It was exhaustion that made the feelings of warmth and contentment and even downright pleasure at seeing the other woman so obvious. It was that same exhaustion that followed Dante out of the car and up the steps and immediately right into Leena's arms for a close, tight hug, tight enough that it'd press their bodies and cheeks together for a moment until the strength of her embrace lessened. Sleepily her body weight would lean against Leena as she held the hug, head finding a place to rest in the curve of Leena's neck as her arms remained wrapped around the other woman's shoulders.]
Missed you. [Was sleepily slurred against Leena's shoulder and neck before Dante would move. They'd shift to head inside. From there a bump of the door closed it, Dante's fingers wiggling would prompt the lock to bolt with a click, and they'd head up the stairs, together, for bed.]
