When Zoe followed it was with slow, precise steps. Small she could easily avoid others, those who were too dazzled to pay attention to their proximity.
"Selling is a performance." Replied Zoe. "and you have to be talented to make people open their wallets. Especially the ones that creak when the leather unfolds." She wondered why no one spoke of this place. There hadn't been a poster or a billboard on the highway. She was going to ask but then she was directly asked her name and she took a breath in, wanted to smoke some of the leftover Nat's from the other night but she could after the grand show. Smoking in a circus tent seemed like a terrible idea.
