[Carnival: Hannah & Zoe]
If only Zoe thought she could let a little luminosity or of her darkness. Maybe someday. Today she seemed like a black hole. Black Holes seemed as if they were void but ultimately were a powerful force..Zoe still had a minuscule amount of its energy inside of her but she was tamping it down, way down tight.
The smile was reciprocated but as genuine as the sentiment it sat on Zoe's face like a burden.
Zoe didn't move as Hannah's neck bent gracefully.
But then she didn't have a choice as she was taken. And she had to find some spontaneity, thinking quick, "Performances." She looked behind at the shrinking ticket booth and her place in line instantly filled in.
"Okay." Zoe said deadpan but didn't offer her name. She wasn't in a place to just hand over the past or the present. It was such a struggle for control over what was happening. She was being pulled and instead of releasing, she wanted to keep it in her grip. "Are you a performer?"
