Re: Woods: Holly and Rafe
Rafe noticed when Holly seemed to grow uncomfortable, and he was almost one hundred percent confident that he had had nothing to do with it. But that begged the question: what had made him uncomfortable? If it was something here in these woods then Rafe couldn't sense anything specific and neither could the wolf. It was an odd place, that much was certain, but it was no one thing that he could pinpoint.
Holly's agreement about keeping an eye out was still fresh in his mind when the younger man vocalised what Rafe had been waiting for, at least for the last short while. It came with a warning though, which Rafe hadn't been expecting, and though he didn't react much on the outside beyond the slightest narrowing of his eyes it was something that stuck in his mind, and firmly. Warnings like that were never to be taken lightly, especially not in a place like Repose.
But he didn't say anything. Didn't ask for clarification. Instead he gave Holly a nod, telling the younger man without words that he understood, not just the urgency behind the departure but also the warning. He would take it to heart. On the one hand it was sort of amusing, Holly warning him about shit in these woods when he had been talking to a flesh and blood werewolf who was drawn to places like this when the need to change and roam came along, but on the other? Well, Rafe wasn't going to take any chances.
And besides, he had learned just about all he was going to learn here. With one last dusting of one hand over the other, and one last glance down at the ground where the scent originated and the surrounding area, Rafe headed back towards his own vehicle, taking his time and keeping his eyes and ears open.
