Even without knowing Si was coming, she would've known it was Si. She pulled the phone from her pocket and disconnected the call, and then she hoisted her bag up onto her shoulder and ran out to the car as he flashed the lights.
There, she opened the passenger door, tossed her bag into the back, and hopped in. Quick, quick, she locked the door and she looked over at her brother. "Drive. Drive, drive, drive," she told him. Drive, drive, drive, a repeated litany and the need to get away from something that made her skin crawl.
