Re: Kit & Tory: Area 52
Kit knew a little about wanting plants about. He had a few already, in the B&B room. Not many, it wasn't strictly his room but he had a few succulents, and a chinese money plant that lived on the bedside table, amid the many empty cups. Greenery made people happier. Living things that didn't demand much or anything at all. He smiled faintly at the face Tory twisted his features into albeit briefly, and then a rather different shade of smile at the explanation of the name. Sympathetic. Past-tense said rather a lot, didn't it?
"Is that why you're Lawrence? After her?" Kit watched the progress of the waste and the coffee with the kind of expectant interest of someone waiting for a magic trick to be produced. His head darted in Tory's direction, and the look of surprise fought hard with amusement, neither truly winning out. "Ah. What did you mean? It's er, the first time anyone's said that." He was smiling truly now.
