Hugh pulled the car to a stop and turned his head to look at Dietre. For some reason he kept thinking about how Dietre's hair had looked all wet and loose the night before, and how it wasn't the sort of thing most people got to see. Dietre was like Hugh - he always looked so put together when he was out in public - and it made the fact that Hugh had gotten to see him fresh and post shower, a little more special.
He smiled at the other man. "I'm glad you did, even if it was party and people," Hugh teased gently. It felt like he'd begun attracting introverts, which maybe wasn't entirely true, but he strongly suspected that both Dietre and Audrey had come only because he'd invited them. "It was my pleasure to have you there, really."
