Re: Dietre A./Hugh C.: On the patio
The wave brought a smile to Hugh's lips, and despite the fact that he really wasn't a morning person at all he yawned, and took Heart with him to the downstairs. Water was retrieved to help him wake-up before he opened the patio door to let Heart out. He stood in the doorway, while she ran around the yard, took care of business, and eventually he called her back in before he turned to the kitchen.
It might have been easier if he'd done more cleaning the night before, but he managed to slide most of the things left over to one end of the large counter while he waited for his coffee to brew. And then with a cup of coffee in his hand, he decided on putting together a fritatta with potatoes and bacon and some of the kale and red bell peppers that he still had from earlier. And it was this that he was in the process of, having just added the kale, pepper and onion in with the bacon when Dietre approached.
"Hey," Hugh's own face echoed Dietre's smile, and as Dietre came up, he slipped an arm affectionately around his waist. "I hope you like eggs and bacon, and kale, since I've added it," he laughed lightly. "But if not, I'm sure we can find something for you." He stirred once, and then stepped back, reaching for a coffee mug. "Coffee? Or Tea? Do you have a morning preference?"
