Re: Dietre A./Hugh C.: On the patio
“You’re too kind,” He said of the offer to drag him upstairs, amused, though Hugh was right to wonder if he sounded flippant, as Dietre wasn’t sure how serious the man was being.
Reverie began to play, another calm piece, suitable for relaxing together under the stars. Dietre was glad that Hugh seemed to have an interest in exploring classical music, choosing pieces without asking for suggestions. That was the best way to discover something you’ll love. It was how Dietre found most of the poetry he shared on the forums, just clicking on titles that stood out to him and finding out where they lead.
“Yes, I’ve played it a few times. Enough to know it, but perhaps not enough to be good at it.” As nice as it was, it wasn’t one of his favorite pieces. There were some that Dietre had played possibly a thousand times. “I’d have to have the sheet music in front of me.”
Clarification in an actual invite to spend the night. Dietre bit his lip before answering, “I think I’d like to stay.” He was not going to mention how he’d left Sieglinde extra food, you know, just in case.
“Hmm… A cup of water, and a shower, maybe?” This was said without any inkling of a suggestion that the shower be together in his mind. Dietre was only thinking about wanting to wash his hair. He could thank being drunk for not realizing alternative meanings after the fact.
