Re: Dietre A./Hugh C.: On the patio
Hugh smiled, and gave Dietre's hand a squeeze. "I don't know. I think you figured them out eventually. It doesn't have to be a Sonnet, you know." He sighed, but it was one of contentment, and he searched for Debussy again now that his song had ended, although he didn't pick a song, not quite remembering what it was Dietre had said earlier that he wantedthem to listen to. Instead he turned his gaze to Dietre next to him.
Hugh laughed. "I think if we lean on each other we'll be fine. I can drag you up the stairs and let you sleep it off, and I'll drive you home tomorrow after the headache has ceased," if it came in the morning. Hugh didn't know if it would. He'd tried to space his drinks, but he could definitely feel the alcohol at the moment.
Of course he didn't feel like moving anymore than it seemed like Dietre felt like moving. He selected one of the songs and turned to Dietre. "Do you play this one?" And as he started it he considered.
"You can stay if you want?" In case it had sounded flippant at all before. "I've got... multiple bedrooms... unless someone decided to take up in them," which wasn't impossible he supposed, he hadn't locked any of them. He liked the idea of Dietre staying in his bed, but wasn't certain how to suggest that without it sounding like a sexual proposition - which it wasn't technically. Considering... he wasn't certain they were there. But they were friends, and it wasn't outside of the norm for Hugh, although he wondered if it was for Dietre. "We should probably both drink a cup of water before we sleep," he added even though that had nothing to do with hits current thoughts really.
