Re: Wandering: Hannah/Fiach
"I'm not pretending right now," she agreed and admitted and said without reserve, and he was right about discomfort and people and self-denial. But it was so much work sometimes, being the someone people expected to see, the someone people needed to see, and sometimes she was really, really bad at it. It was one of the reasons she liked quiet nights on the roof of the house in the neighborhood, and she really felt alone there, but in the good way. Just her and the stars, and the stars didn't need her to be anyone at all.
She smiled at his kindness. "Are ravens nice?" She was teasing.
"Thank you," she went on. "I was really small, and they didn't mean to not see me, but I still remember it. I'm sorry about your family, and I'm sorry you died, and I hope you'll be able to live again here," she told him, meaning every word. "If you want to find me, later, you can look for Hannah, on the forums. I'll answer," she promised with a smile. "Now, go, have fun, meet someone who isn't sad. Dance someone around a room and remember the good moments."
