Re: Mat & Ren || The Docks
Ren snorted. "I don't see any reason why a woman's life should become dull when she becomes a Mrs, so why wouldn't you be out here?" Granted skinny dipping with another man who is a total stranger might not exactly be in the list of 'not dull' activities that would be typically supported within a relationship. But people had different types, and Ren didn't judge whatever worked for them.
He raised an eyebrow at her pronouncement. "What a shame I turned out to be not terrible. Bold statement, Miss Evil." He assumed Miss since she had been so horrified by Mrs, but he didn't really give a fuck.
The water was definitely cold. And he probably could have mitigated that and made it less cold against his skin or warm himself up enough to not really feel it, but that seemed unfair. She was in, and without any particular fuss about the cold, which was... impressive. Maybe even almost a turn-on really. So he joined her, an easy slip off of the dock into the cold water.
He really hated lake swimming, if he were honest. Hated not being able to see what was underneath, but he could at least sense living things anyway, and his senses were alert, and sure, he couldn't see what might be underneath, but he wasn't going to swim into any of it - which was the main point. Cold water aside, it was kind of pretty - the house up on the hill with all the lights sparkling out against the lake, and his companion looked a bit like a mermaid. "How goes fortune?" He quipped. "Not hypothermic I hope."
